Dial One Broussard Appliance

Oh God! Please do not use this service. I was charged $200 to change out a part on my gas stove to repair one eye. Now all four are not working properly. It is also hard to get anyone to call you back. I also agree that the techs are not qualified. I will never use this service again. more

The oven on the cooking range we purchased stopped working. During the first visit the tech from Broussard said that the gas pressure was too low. more

The computer in my refrigerator stopped working. I phoned Dial One and an appointment was set. The repair person arrived on time, was professional and well groomed. more

I've used Dial One Broussard Appliance on several occasions for at least three different major appliances in the four years I've lived in New Orleans. Each time they have arrived within the time specified and performed the work quickly and with a smile. This past Friday I called to have my washer repaired and they told me that they could have someone out on Monday between 12 and 5pm. The repairman arrived at 1pm and I was fortunate enough that he didn't require any new parts. He completed the work within 45 minutes and ONLY charged me the service fee! I've recommended Broussard to friends in the area. more

I called and scheduled an appointment to have my washer repaired. The first available appointment was several days away, so I went to the trouble to make special arrangements to have a half day covered at work so that I could meet the repair person. Several hours before the appointment, Dial One called to tell me they weren't going to make the appointment and could they reschedule for another day. RIDICULOUS!!! I would give them zero stars. more

Clearly the former owner who chose the appliances for my kitchen selected the most unreliable, and Dial One seems to be the only local service. Either their technicians lack basic diagnostic skills, or they're padding the bill with additional parts and visits. more

The service was painless. I scheduled on line and the technician called me 30 minutes before so that I could meet him and I didn't have to wait on him at home. I will definately use again and will recommend. Pros: Scheduled online and was called at work. Cons: None more

I called up dial one to fix my washing machine. One repair man came out and advised it was an issue w/ water valves and advised he would have to order them. Then a different repair man came out and changed out the valves and then turned on the washer and then advised that the transmission was out in the washing machine and its best just to buy a new one. Sure would have be nice to know prior to me spending another $150.00 to get the thing fixed. They are not to be trusted. Very nice when they are taking your money but have no idea what they are actually doing. Absolutely horrible Pros: Terrible...absolutely terrible Cons: They con you. more

Broussard Appliance Service came out to fix my dryer and it needed a new belt. The first service man did not have a belt so I needed to reschedule another day for them to come out with a belt. Three days later another repair man came out and did not have the correct belt so I needed to schedule another day for them come out with the correct belt. In the meantime I got the belt from a local appliance part store and replaced it myself. The part was $15.00 and Broussard's was going to charge me $198.00 plus the $90.00 "diagnostic fee". I will not use Broussard Appliance repair again. more

I had them out to repair my gas oven. The tech told me it was the ignitor, which sounded correct because I had that go out on an oven previously. Then he showed me the book price (almost $300.) I was shocked. I ordered the part for $25 from the internet and had a friend install it. I still had to pay Dial One's $90 service charge. more

I absolutely love Dial One! From the receptionist to the nice guy that came out to the house to the boss- everyone's on point! I've had to call them to fix my refrigerater, washer, and dryer. I've never had any problems any of the three times. They always came out very soon after I called, within a couple of days. They're also very reasonable on their prices. I priced about 5 different companies, and Dial One is way lower than the other competitors! I'll never call anyone else to fix my appliances again:) I highly recommend them! I hired Dial One to fix my oven. When the service man showed up he said that it was an electrical problem (without inspecting the oven), and recommended an electrician. The electrician came one week later claiming that it was not an electrical problem; he dissected the oven and pointed to the mechanical problem. When Dial One returned, another Dial One repairman ordered the part that the electrician pointed out was the problem. Two weeks later the part arrived and two Dial One men were at my house for 4 hours trying to install the thing. Then they told me that there was another part that they needed to order. Two weeks later that part came in. I have been without an oven for two months, thanks to this company. The repair men are nice, but many are not very well-trained. I would NOT recommend this service if you want your appliance repaired in a reasonable amount of time by competent people. Pros: no pros Cons: extremely slow, bad customer service, never on time more
