Devonshire Does Great Job 6/2/2009

I've been taking my dogs to Devonshire for over 10 years. They know what they're doing and are very thorough. If you have Dobe's there isn't any other place you should be taking them than Devonshire. more

Dr Hall is unacceptable! 5/16/2009

I had a wonderful, loving Quaker Parrot who suddenly became ill on 5-15-09. Petsmart told us the only avian was Dr Hall at Devonshire. My daughter called and left a message. Dr Hall called back about 20 minutes later and said it was a respiratory infection, but we needed to take him to Indy because she wanted off work early and didn't have time to mess with it. She also told my daughter that if he got the meds soon he could be saved! So...instead of showing compassion and love for this dear buddy of mine, she blew him off....30 minutes later, he died. Her office is 10 minutes away. We have turned her in to PETA, the BBB and will continue to get this matter taken care of. If she has no compassion, she shouldn't have her license....even leaving the medicine for us to pick up would have been fine with us, and there is a chance that Pip would still be with us. And...btw...the only reason I gave them 1 star is because I could not submit without it. more

Wonderful Vets... 10/1/2008

I have been taking my pets to this clinic for years and they have always treated my pets wonderfully. Rather they be sick or just need routine care. My pets have always received top care from the vets at this clinic. I highly recommend them, especially Dr. Lawler. more

Murdered my dog 9/15/2008

Don't trust these vets; they'll kill your pets. They should have taken my dog out back and shot her rather than torturing her the way they did. Arrogant Daugherty doesn't listen and does his best to make you feel stupid. They are more proud of their "bells and whistles" equipment than in the knowledge they obtained in school. Spare yourself heartache and take your pet to a qualified vet service. more

Great vets 9/2/2008

We have been taking our animals to Devonshire for many years and have seen many vets come and go. All have taken wonderful care of our animals and on the occasions that our animals have passed away shown great concern for us as well. I will continue to return as long as they are open. more

AAA+++ 8/15/2008

My pets have been patients at Devonshire Veterinary Clinic for many years. We've had happy experiences and sad experiences when the doctors there treated our pets. We've had sick pets get well, and sick pets die. It's part of life, and it happens - whether we want it to or not.\r \r While I do favor one particular doctor, I find them all to be knowledgable and helpful. I adore my pets, and I wouldn't take them anyplace if I didn't have complete confidence in the doctors.\r \r In fact, we no longer live in Anderson. We live in Fishers, but still make the drive to Anderson when our pets need care. \r \r They are not perfect, but if you're looking for perfection, you're not going to find it anywhere at any vet's office.\r \r I would highly recommend this office to anyone needing care for their pets. more

bad vet 5/27/2008

Two years ago my I tok a chocolate lab to this vet, because she had not been eating for one day and she had some vomiting on the second day. This was very unusual for her. Upon the visit they did not run any test only listened to our explanations of her symptoms and then they told us nothing was wrong with her. The next day she continued to vomit and started having diarhea. We returned to Devonshire for a second time in two days, and a different vet actually ran some tests to find out that she had an advanced case of whipworm. The test was simple, but each visit was costly. The first vet should have been able to detect something. I would never recommend this vet to anyone. more

It depends which doctor you see 5/21/2008

This is a group practice. One of the veterinarians is very good, listens to what you have to say, tells you options, and will even call on weekends or holidays to check on your pet or report test results. I've gone to this practice for 19 years, and I'm devoted to this particular vet. I don't care for one of the other veterinarians at all, and if he's the only doctor on duty when my pet gets sick, I'll go somewhere else.\r \r Fortunately, the office will work with you, so that you can request a specific doctor for your appointments. more

Failed us and our dog 4/24/2008

Our dog went in kidney failure early this year. The doctors could offer no course of treatment. A friend advised us to get a referral to a state veterinary hospital. In the course of reviewing the records on our pet kept by this office we were shocked.\r \r They had a prior blood test, 9 months earlier, indicating the start of this problem. In two subsequent visits they did not retest. This was not explained to us. By the time out dog received the treatment she needed it was too late. Our dog could not be saved.\r \r I trusted this business in the past, but, can no longer recommend them. more

Crooked people!!! 4/27/2007

Avoid this vet like the plague. My former co-worker took her dog to the Animal Inn (owned by the devonshire vets) for grooming. They called over at Devonshire, which my friend had stopped using over a year before. They found that she hadn't updated the dog's shots with them in over a year, so they rushed the dog over and gave her a rabies shot. Unfortunatly, the dog had JUST had a rabies shot a month before at her new vet's office. My friend said that she even told them that before they took the dog.\r \r The vets said that it didn't matter, wouldn't kill the dog...but that they couldn't groom the dog without knowing 100% about the shots being up to date! The vet tried to charge my friend for the shots too! Devonshire sent her a bill for the shots and everything!!! \r \r After living in Anderson for a while, I heard all sorts of bad stories about this place, some a lot worse than that one. One girl said her kitten had diareha and they didn't even run any blood work, they just told more
