When I saw that first termite trail in our house I immediately found the yellow pages and looked up a termite exterminator. I ended up calling out about 3 different exterminators for estimates. Desert Web Exterminating did not have the very cheapest rates, but the owner had come out and given me a very good presentation and addressed all my concerns, so I felt comfortable choosing them. Okay, I also admit that their advertised "K-9 Unit that actually sniffs out termites" intrigued me and I was hoping to see the dog in action.
Well, the house was treated and I made sure to stay on (i.e. pay for) their annual program where if the termites reappeared the house would again be treated. The termites never reappeared while we lived at the house.
Sadly, I was never able to see the K-9 Unit in action. Apparently the dog is used for cases in which the termites are very hard to find. The termites in our house were pretty obvious, so the dog wasn't needed.
All in all, I was very happy with Desert Web's services and their staff were very friendly and professional.
