Deseret Industries

I love this place. I donate all our used things here. I shop here. I enjoy the people who run the place. I'm not a religious person, but the religious backing of the store isn't off-putting. I'm happy to be able to participate in this facet of their outreach without being a member. I've found some great clothes here but also some wonderful items for homeschooling. The store is clean, there's a relatively quick turnover of items, and the prices are fair. I've started seeing this store as a great library of household items where there's a small fee to borrow what you need. I pay the price, keep the item as long as it's useful, and then recycle it back in for someone else to use it. It satisfies my need to leave a smaller footprint on the planet--and it's fun! more

On the weekends I usally wander into Deseret Industries to check out any bargains that they might have. Most of the items I find there are practically brand new or in good condition. They are very well priced, except for some of their womens clothes which are sometimes as much as the new products. I would defintely recommend any bargain shopper to stop here once a week and check out the bargains. more
