Don't eat steak much but pretty darn good! 11/17/2009

Not a big steak connoisseur but do enjoy it from time to time. I had the 12 oz. filet mignon since I like my cuts pretty lean. Nicely peppered for seasoning. The waiters make sure your meat is cooked to perfection. The sides were fine but honestly I could do without....it's all about the beef. Others in my party ordered the bone-in filet and bone-in ribeye....all thoroughly enjoyed it. I've also gone to Prime Steakhouse at the Bellagio, but I would say the dining experience and food is better here at Del Friscos. Pros: Nicely seasoned, tender cuts. Cons: None. more

Avoid this one in Vegas 10/20/2008

We were so disappointed in Del Friscos in Las Vegas. We have been to Del Friscos in Manhattan and Texas and they were great. We made reservations and told them it was for a birthday. We were first put into a noisy side room and then moved to the main dining room but at the entrance of the kitchen which wasn't great becasue some of the servers bumped into your seat. It was mainly the food that was disappointing. We had someone at the table with a food allergy and the the waiter didn't know that their mashed potatoes had onions! The spinach was mediocre, the stone crab was not cracked adequately so it made it hard to eat and the most expensive bone in filet had to be sent back because we couldn't cut through it. The manager tried to make up for it with some deseert but then the bill was incorrect twice! Once with someone elses 6 drinks. We will not be returning to the one in Vegas anytime soon. Pros: Good name Cons: The food, the service and check your bill!! more

our favorite spot in vegas 9/23/2008

We have been to del friscos about 10 times it was so good we havent tried many others but on our last vegas trip we tried del one night then ruths cris the next night although they were both great del friscos meat was quit a bit better i had the rib eye at both places just to compare and ruths just did not compare. Were going next week again and cant wait. Pros: damn good food Cons: always get to full more

Average 6/3/2008

For a romantic place this is a miss...more like a sports bar with high prices. The food was really good but the rest of the experience was ruined by loud convention goers in shorts and loud shirts. There is a dress code, guess no one can read. more

Large Group--Hit or Miss 5/1/2008

I've toyed between giving the Las Vegas location an Average or Recommended Rating. The wait staff was very prompt and attentive but as we sat down to the table--did not have time to enjoy the first drink before they wanted to take our order. "So we can get the menus off of the table" Felt very rushed through the meal. Waiter suggested a variety of appetizers for the table consisting of crab cakes, jumbo shrimp and calamari. All were good. The special of the night a 15'' bone in steak was not any bigger or tastier than the prime rib eye--this one you definitely pay for the bone!! The waiter suggested the lobster for the table (largest) and anyone who orders lobster knows they are older and tougher--assured it was not; tough as expected and definitely over cooked. We had a variety of items ordered at the table, turtle soup (very peppery) the filets were cooked as ordered large portions, the salmon looked nice, grouper special was nice, and the shrimp scampi looked good (piled high with tomatoes). Ala Carte side dishes are just that... potatoes au gratin, asparagus, broccoli, spinach supreme (oops they forgot to bring those out). When the meal is served--they bring out more wait staff to serve the ala carte items and the table will be swarming. I personally have no issues paying for a good meal, so if you do not mind being up sold for every item--the steaks are good and cooked to order---it was just rather disappointing since lived in Dallas and having been there numerous times--Viva Las Vegas just did not measure up!!! Pros: Attentive Waitstaff Cons: Not good for large groups unless you rent a private room more

Best restaurant I've ever been to 3/1/2007

I live out of town, but every time I go to Vegas, I have to eat at Del Frisco's. The lobster and filet mignon both melt in your mouth like butter. Everything is sooo good and flavorful, I wished that I had a bigger stomach to eat more. (Well, not really, but you know what I mean). The service was great and quick, and I felt like an appreciated guest from our waiter. I'm a customer for life, and only wish I lived closer! Pros: Everything! Cons: Pricey, but completely worth it more

Wonderful experience 10/29/2006

What a great meal we had at Del Frisco's. The service, from hostess to bus boys, was high class all the way. It's old fashioned--the kind of place a southerner would enjoy. So many juicy steaks to choose form and awesome desserts. This place is devoid of the typical Vegas garishness. It's lovely, you'll enjoy it. Pros: Great steaks Cons: Expensive more

Over Rate 8/6/2006

I went to del friscos several years ago and didn't love it, and went a few weeks ago (for free with work) and was not too impressed at all. the shrimp cocktail was good, but my lamb was beyond dissapointing and I've had better lamb at the outback. I'd reccomend ruths chris across the street for sure over this over priced rip off operation. more

I wish there was one in Portland! 3/24/2006

Went to Del Frisco's for dinner while in Vegas with the girls. My filet was melt-in-your-mouth tender. I've never had a better steak. Aaron, our wonderful waiter, mailed us thank you notes. A nice touch. When I'm back in Vegas, I'll definitely return. Pros: steak, service, wine more

An experience 2/9/2006

I have been here several times with different groups of friends, and each time the opinion is,,,,this is the best restaurant for steaks and a relaxing experience. To top off the sensational food, you can relax in the cigar lounge after your meal. A great way to finish the evening off. Service is impecable, and food is even better. Pros: food, cigar lounge Cons: price more

still the best 11/10/2005

The martini's are big the steaks bigger. The best and most consistant place in Vegas. Service was unmatched with 6 people helping serve out the meal. Pros: steaks, service, winelist Cons: none more

What a place!!! 10/26/2005

The best steak I have ever had! Great waiters! Will not visit Vegas without going to Del Frisco's. more

Who Can Enjoy The Place?? 8/29/2005

A truly offensive restaurant. If youre spending big bucks go somewhere to enjoy it. With reservations and no crowd, they sent us to the bar for cocktails at $13++. A request for seats near the piano was met with theyre reserved. (For the people who never showed). Obnoxious waiter upsold absolutely everything -- sparkling water, $50 appetizers, pricey salads and ala carte sides -- he even suggested we buy a magnum of wine for $400-$800+. Yeah, right. He did this with a straight face, yammering on and on and on. Like sitting through a timeshare and paying for it. We could purchase everything on the menu and not lose sleep but their obvious desire for huge profits was disgusting. $18 a glass for cabernet? Get real. We didn't feel like customers, we felt like they wanted the entire contents of our wallets and wouldnt shut up until they got it. Pros: Piano Player Cons: Offensive Upselling, Ridiculous Prices, Obnoxious Waiter more

My Favorite 7/28/2005

I am going to Vegas in two weeks and one stop I will make for sure is at Del Frisco's. I have never been disappointed here and the food and ambiance are superb. I truly am looking forward to this experience once more Pros: good value , good service , great steak more

Always a great meal! 5/22/2005

We truely enjoy our dining experiences at Del Frisco. The wine list is impressive to say the least, the steaks are always PERFECT, and I know I can always take clients or friends here and not worry about the evening turning into a fiasco. Recomended for anyone who loves a nice cut of meat cooked exactly how you order it. more

Excellent 3/8/2005

The atmosphere was great. We had a large group and they were very accommadating. There was really nice wine selection. I was not ordering but we had bottles of white and some bottles of red. Appetizers were fantastic, we ordered the spiny lobster tails and scallops. My entree was the Double Eagle steak. It was a huge steak, but the best steak I have ever eaten in my life. I will return to enjoy this restaurant again!!! more

Radio talk show comes through with recommendation. My husband had heard about the place on a sports talk radio show. They didn't steer us wrong! First an anniversary and were going back this month for a birthday. The food was fabulous, service was fantastic (even a handwritten thank you card from our waiter on our return home), and my husband loved the cigar room, which I could even sit in and enjoy an after dinner drink without fear of the smoke. Pros: Food, Service, Cigar room Cons: , none, none more

Oct. 12 11/3/2004

Outstanding sirloin, again, cooked to perfection! Third visit, great ambiance & even better waitresses. Love the black boots! Pros: great steak, reasonably priced, cooked perfect Cons: none more

super service!!!! 10/6/2004

the service was the best in vegas, the side dishes are just out of this world, the steak was very good but i like dry aged steaks much better, the over all rating is excellent, if you are a steak snob just order the filet (i know no real steak snob would order a filet, i odered the rib eye the most flavorfull cut)but because it is wet aged and not dry aged the texture and flavor is not the same, but still a very good steak. Pros: price, side dishes, service!!!!!! more

heaven on earth 5/27/2003

Del Friscos is without a doubt my favorite restaurant in the U.S. No visit to Vegas is complete with out going there as well. From the staff to the selection of wine to the WELL ventilated cigar bar, no detail is overlooked. Make sure your check out the 007 BAR its a well kept secrete so you will need to ask to see it! Pros: food, wine, staff Cons: none, none, none more
