Please note, this is my opinion and personal feelings based on my experiences at the Tempe Smiles on Broadway office. I originally went to Smiles on Broadway for tooth resorption, which required an implant for complete replacement of my front tooth. I began the process in August 2013, my estimate for everything start to finish came to $3000. I spoke with Shannon, then office manager, because they match competitor coupons/estimates. She agreed to apply my 25% off coupon to the entire treatment plan, and made a copy of it. Every visit between August 2013 and May 2014 I asked if it was time to apply my coupon, and multiple staff members kept telling me to hang on to it and wait. Long story short, I am finally paying the final bill, and Shannon no longer works there and the office is refusing to honor my coupon. The office staff argued with me, and made every excuse not to accept it - Shannon doesn't work there anymore, they won't make any money if they apply it, I should've known they wouldn't apply it because they kept putting it off, they're already the cheapest in town, Dr. Unger's office (nextdoor surgeon) should've applied it and not them, they can't retroactively apply it to past visits, etc. After I wrote a review on multiple sites, Joey the senior manager of both offices (Smiles on Broadway and Deer Valley Smiles) called me. He gave me the same excuses the office staff had and wasn't going to provide any discount, so I told him I wasn't updating the reviews as the matter remained unresolved. As retaliation, he told me that his office would no longer see me as a patient and he was canceling my Procera crown (which I paid 50% for up front) - which I told him I wanted to proceed with even if we couldn't resolve the coupon matter, but he refused to allow treatment. A coworker heard me upset over the whole ordeal and called the office on my behalf (without my knowledge/consent) and Diana was quick to discuss my treatment plan and payments, violating HIPPA laws. Dr. Fuller later called me and offered the treatment plan at cost, but only if I removed my reviews. I was willing to update my reviews, but not remove them as I didn't feel it was right to give into extortion-like practices and my original concerns weren't really addressed. Dr. Fuller is a fantastic dentist, as is Dr. Unger nextdoor, but office practices are questionable. I have personally spoke with others who have written negative reviews about their ""bait and switch pricing"" and been paid off to remove them, and I'd be interested in speaking with other patients with similar experiences. I'm sorry Dr. Fuller, I wish your name wasn't attached to this office :(
