I have been all over the U.S.A. in my lift time .My father pass away about 10 years ago and he left me some guns their were some I didn't want , so I started to go around and try to sell them are trade them for something else. Every gun shop that I went to treated me like a piece of dirt and I 'am being nice with my words then a real good friend of mine said have you ever gone to the deer Hunter Guns on gulf to bay I said know haven't been their ,because I was tired of being treed like dirt from the other guns shops heir in Pinellas country he told me just go their and try them out .I 'am glad he did .As soon as you walk in somebody offer you something to drink like coffee or soda then the hole group, that works their ,go out of their way to help you they treat you like family even if your not and they don't try to rip you off buy over pricing like when their was a scare about the Gun control that's the way they are .So I recommend if you are in Clearwater FL you should stop buy their shop you'll real love what they have to offer from good people to Friday pizza day and a real good stock of firearms more

This is the best gun shop in the Tampa Bay area. They have always been very welcoming. They will offer you coffee or a drink as soon as you enter. Now, tell me any others that even start with that type of customer service. They are very knowledgeable, have good inventory, and can get most things you need, if they don't have it. Now my opinion is to stay away from places like Bill Jacksons, Shoot Straight, or many other local gun shops. The previous mentioned places have customer service that sucks. I have shopped in all the bay area stores and Deer Hunter is at the TOP. Give these guys a chance to help you out. You will not be disappointed at all. They are conveniently located right of Hwy 60/ Gulf to Bay. more

Deer Hunter Guns-Freindly Staff with Great Customer Service 8/16/2010

This is my first online review. I don't normally take the time but felt I had to in this case. I dealt with two different people at this establishment on two different days. They were both courteous and extremely helpful. The first day I went in there I was calling around looking for a magazine for a ruger 10 / 22. They had it in stock and had just closed a minute before calling. They close at 2pm on Saturday. The gentleman offered to wait a few minutes so I would have a chance to drive down there for the mag. This type of great service is almost unheard of in today's day and age. I was appreciative. I just went in there today for the second time and dealt with another staff member who was helping me solve an issue. He was also very helpful and courteous. The staff there are laid back and provide professional service. I will support their establishment and they have earned a new, happy customer. Thier customer service was also top notch. more

The BEST Gun Shop Around! 5/19/2010

It's always a pleasure to visit Deer Hunter Guns whether I buy a gun or just browse. You are always greeted with a ""hello"" and are offered a cup of coffee! There is never any pressure to buy and they gladly answer all your questions, no matter how many dumb ones I ask! All guns are there to be handled and inspected. If you buy a long gun they even throw in a case! I find their prices to be very fair and actually cheaper than the bigger gun shops. Give them a try and you'll agree with everything I've said. Pros: Friendly, honest, always inviting. more

Best Gun Dealers 10/22/2009

Nobody is perfect but these guys come close when it comes to guns. I can't over state their friendliness and knowledge. I recommend them without reservation. Pros: Knowledgable, friendly good bunch of guys more
