I stayed at this hotel while on a trip up north for job interviews. I was on a budget, so the price was right. It's location is within walking distance of a great restaurant, The Black Bear Diner, which has huge portions and you will always leave stuffed. It is also extremely close to an In-N-Out Burger, Burger King, a ton of outlet stores, and Highway 101. The carpet in the room was a little dirty, like it needed a good shampooing, but other than that, my room was clean, and the hotel cleaning staff was very friendly. They had the best shower pressure that I have EVER experienced in a hotel, and they had those really cool, new, low-flow, energy-efficient toilets. I wasn't sure about the bed at first glance, it looked quite flimsy, but it was actually very comfortable, as were the pillows. I woke up late on my last day there and was in a rush to get out by the 11 AM checkout time. As a result, I left behind something very important. They held onto it for me and I was able to pick it up when I returned to the area a few weeks later. I am very grateful for the hotel owners for doing that for me, since they don't have to keep items left behind by customers if they don't want to.\r
