Dave's Kart & Cycles 3 Wheeler

I may have made a terrible mistake in bringing my Baja Blitz mini bike back to this place after 4 years .I had changed out the motor to a 200 cc from the 90 cc and asked them to set up the throttle return springs .Iwaited for 2 weeks and nothing was done ,so I pulled the bike vowing never to return and now reading the posts I know why he has no business to speak of ! They are supposed to be open on Saterdays from 10 am to 2 pm and I called before went down ,and got a if we do not answer the pne call back in 2 hours crap ,so I went down to try to pick up the bike for just having a new chain and idler pulley installed ,because I wished to use the bike to train my hunting dog at Pheasent /Rec in Cooledge on Tuesday as they are closed on Sun ,Mon ,and Tuesday they do no work and allow only pick ups .This guy only serves himself ,and not the general public ,and his business is not thriving because of it . So we will see come Tuesday if the same attitude and incompetence prevails when I try to waste my time and gas money again to pick up my bike !\r more

Have had go cart into Dave's kart three times. First time mechanic says was carburator. Paid 138.55 on 6/16 Came home started once and stopped. Took back mechanic says fly wheel, paid 46.78 on 6/21. Started once and quit. Took back to mechanic. Called more times that I can remember, every time told either mechanic not in or he can't find problem. Was advised that he put a new carberator on it and it started once and quit. Frustrated as this is suppose to be someone that ""knows"" what they are doing???\r Called just now, says pistons blown, cost 600$ to fix. Says I owe him 200$ for ""looking"" at it???I say what do I owe you for, your job to find out what is wrong. You had it from 6/24 to 7/20. You get 40$ an hour when it shouldn't have taken you 5 hrs to find out that it had blown pistons??? He says no one told me that the engine was blown? Like I would know this??? I found the company name on a used go-kart I purchased. One wheel was broke. I called Dave's to try and find a replacement. They were very helpful in getting me the correct wheel. I emailed them a picture and even though they were not set up for shipping, they took the wheel to UPS to have it shipped to me in PA. They later called to make sure I received the shipment. Waited at the door for them to open up at 9:00 am on July 9,2008 no show until 9:10. As I walked up to the door with the new owner, he told me to wait for a minute, I figured he was taking care of the alarm but as I waited for another 15 minutes outside in the heat. I finally saw he was by his register, open the door a little and asked if its okay to come in. He gave me an attitued as though I was bothering him. Asking why I waited outside so long, he started cursing me out. I asked if Dave was around to talk to, he said he bought the business from him. The new owner has no customer service, he should have asked me- How can I help you when he first opened the door. Pros: Being the only Go Cart shop around, they can be Jerks. Cons: Customer Service is terrible, non friendly and dirty store. Selection is very limited and in bad area. more
