Bought a $5400 zero turn 3 years ago and have the same problems. It's hard to start, engage arms and wants to die, right front wheel shakes. The absolute worst service and they don't care. I will never do business with this incompetent business again. Dixon should pull their contract with Dave's Hardware more

Well after seeing these comments on here I figured I would speak on behalf of the thousands of other people who do business there every year since the only people who bothered to write something wasn't happy with the service. Go figure.\r \r I for one can tell you these guys are the best out there in the lawn mower business. ie. other shops are not as friendly in my opinion. Of course they are not perfect as there is no such thing as a perfect mechanic that gets everything right the first time or maybe even the 6th time as the other person said but they always do the best they can for me and my neighbors who have all bought mowers there.\r \r You are right. They don't like to service a mower just so a customer can test it. If you don't buy it, it goes back on the floor to sit with gas in that goes bad quickly these days. Quite frankly I like knowing that the machine I am buying has been kept indoors out of the weather with no gas in it until I buy it. Unlike other shops that have all their inventory stacked in the weather.\r \r Last but not least. PATRON YOUR LOCAL SMALL BUSINESS!\r \r They have PARTS and SERVICE for the equipment they sell. U could have bought a TORO instead of that cheap Cub Cadet!\r \r \r more

These people are incredibly rude not to mention incompetent. I am amazed that they are still in business. I had my mower in there 6 times in 2 years for the same problem. Finally had to go to another repair shop because I felt like I was just throwing money down the toilet. Went to buy a new mower - and the sales guy wouldn't even start the engine for me. He said they weren't serviced yet and they all ride about the same. Obviously didn't want to make the sale. I will never go back. more

I went to Daves (on a friends recomendation) to inquire about getting my Cub lawnmower fixed. The man at the service counter told me they didnt work on Cubs. I asked if he knew anyone who did....He said NO looked down and started talking on his cell phone. Its amazing they are still in business treating people this way! more
