Read the last review, and have complete opposite experience. Live in rural Alaska, but travel several times a year for their work. I love Dr. Massey -- always polite, good work, nice staff, and I am always pleased with the results. I have nothing but great things to say about this office! I've had a dozen dentists in my life -- he's my all time favorite!!! Pros: Nice office, great work; happy atmosphere Cons: Sometimes hard to get an appointment more

Critical, rude, and doesn't care about keeping clients 7/3/2008

I had been a loyal client of Darling's for over 2 years and referred many of my friends to his office. For 2 years I went around telling people that he had excellent quality work and a nice office atmosphere. Then I chipped my front tooth and went to have it filled. The filling itself matched my tooth, but the inner corner was very sharp and the edge in the middle was at an angle that made my tooth, which had never been uneven before, look like I suddenly needed braces. \r \r \r \r The crookedness was only visable from the left side of my face and he was on the right side. ALL I asked was if the front part of the filling on the edge could be shaped more straight by minor filing. He quickly shoved an abrasive stripe between my teeth before I could fully explain the crookedness was not between the teeth but on the front of the filling (not visable from his angle). \r \r \r \r I was told ""you know what your problem is, you're being picky, that tooth is perfect and if you want someone to fix it get another dentist."" Directly after he walked out of the room and did not come back. This was after spending no more than 20 minutes total with him for a filling. I did not even use novacane so it could be simpler and go quicker. I paid somewhere around 250$ for this 20 minutes of work and he did not even spend the time to listen to my concern. \r \r \r \r Now I have to find a new dentist who can fix the $250 filling by doing such minor adjustments to make the inner corner not as sharp and someone who can take the time to look at the shape of the tooth from the front instead of only the right side. These are my front teeth that everyone sees when I smile, the 2 years of being a loyal client don't matter at all to this dentist. I have a dad who's fighting for his life and received very upsetting news 10 minutes before this appointment. That rudeness was the last thing I needed. Save your time and find a dentist who cares about keeping clients. Pros: Good quality work that depends on his mood Cons: Clients are expendable, lack of patience, he was outright rude when I had not been rude more
