When trying to draw blood from my dog the vet had trouble finding a vein. The vet actually said ""boy, your blood pressure must be low"". I thought, dear Lord, does he really think low blood pressure is the reason it's difficult to find a vein??? Obviously wasn't in class when they taught the difference between veins and arteries. I'm sure my dog while being stuck with a needle did not have a low blood pressure.
I think they would actually run ultrasounds, lab work, and x rays, every hour on a healthy pet if you acted like you thought it would be beneficial. I understand that pet care isn't cheap and they didn't go to school for free but they really like to test, test, test. I feel like it's a story right out of an amateur going to a mechanic to get their car fixed and being told what needs to be done to ""get the car tip top again"".
Also, the older short haired receptionist needs to be working in a lumberyard - NOT A VET CLINIC. I want to slap her when her greeting is ""WHO IS THIS?"" like you have interrupted and ruined her day. that's actually how she greets you. This has happened several times.
I adopted 2 cats and now take them to Bells Ferry animal hospital. my wife still takes our dogs to Dallas - for now...........
Pros: facility looks nice / vets do seem caring
Cons: that doesn't help with your pet's care
