After losing my long-time Dentist for decades I tried a new Chain-Dentistry-Office that came to town a few years ago. They recently closed their doors leaving me once again without proper Dental services. I was looking not only for a reputable Dentist but also a new home for all my Dental Care going forward.\r \r I met Dr. Shlotz and his Staff at Plaza Health Dentistry through a coupon that came in the mail for a routine cleaning. I had never used them before. While I expected at the very least a professional cleaning what I got was so much more!\r \r I was impressed with the quality of the coupon. It wasn't just some slick, quickly-composed flyer to attract business. It was a highly professional-looking and informative piece. I knew instantly that the organization behind this mailer had the very same characteristics.\r \r The Staff was incredible to work with. From the Receptionists to the Billing Staff to the Technicians to the Doctors everyone was so knowledgeable and professional. They seemed genuinely happy to work for this practice and serve their clients. \r \r I was greeted with smile after smile after smile on every visit. All my questions and concerns were readily and fully answered. The physical space was attractive, comfortable, relaxing, modern and enjoyable. \r \r But what struck me most was the teamwork and consistency of service shown by all those involved in my care. They truly worked as one Team and not as individualized or specialized caregivers.\r \r While there were always other patients in the Office during my visits I was made to feel like I was the only one the staff was caring for. They did everything possible to make me feel comfortable, understand their recommendations and worked with me on pricing and policies. This was especially important since I am Self-Pay. \r \r They helped me save significantly on the costs of my procedures by informing me timely of savings during their Customer Appreciation Week. This made it possible for me to obtain much-needed services beyond the routine cleaning.\r \r Dr. William Shlotz was the consummate professional. His skills were superb. He was very gentle when working on me. He explained every procedure and action he was performing. But most importantly, he exhibited the highest level of professionalism in his care for me. He is an extremely humble person, given the supreme level of his abilities. He made me feel completely at ease giving me the highest level of confidence in the direction of his care and recommendations throughout the entire process of my multiple visits.\r \r Although this was my very first interaction with Plaza Health Dentistry I felt as If I had known this Dentist and his Staff all my life. I was treated as a long-term, valued customer and not just a one-time-coupon-binging-buyer!\r \r I cannot thank Dr. Shlotz and his Staff enough at Plaza Health Dentistry for helping me maintain proper Dental Health and ensuring a bright future of ???All Smiles!??? I've suffered from TMJ for over 15 years. Different dentist recommended a softer diet, muscles relaxers, pain killers etc but the problem was never taken care of. After reading a review on Plaza Health's facebook page I decided to call Dr. Schlotz to make an appointment- He recommended I meet with Dr. Fitzgerald and even went out of his way to fit me in that day because he knew how much pain I was in. Dr. Fitzgerald was able to massage my jaw so I could open and shut pain free. He did this WITHOUT medication that made me loopy and I left that night feeling like a new person. I was fitted for an orthodontic device that I now sleep in every night and the difference has been amazing. more

I began with an "emergency" filling loss that revealed much more extensive issues. I was referred by a colleague who is also a Plaza patient. In the end I had 3 over-lays put in. From start to finish I was treated courteously, with care and put immediately at ease with the process. I grew up with "white knuckle" dentistry and at 58 can still experience severe anxiety at the thought of "dentist". Plaza Health Dentistry, Dr. S and the entire staff took time to explain, provide sedation options and create a plan forward that has resulted in a successful exit on this last day of 2014 and a happy on-ramp to 2015. I came to see Dr. Fitzgerald at Plaza Health Dentistry because I had been experiencing a consistent popping in my jaw, and I started developing headaches. I had never suffered from headaches before, so I figured that something might be wrong. My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Schlotz for our regular dentist visits, and he suggested that we both see Dr. Fitzgerald (my husband had been experiencing similar issues). So, we decided to schedule an appointment when the popping and headaches started to become unbearable. Dr. Fitzgerald concluded that I would need an orthodontic jaw repositioner. Once I received my orthodontic jaw repositioner, I noticed positive results almost immediately. My headaches were almost completely gone, and the popping became less noticeable. My experience at Plaza Health Dentistry has been wonderful. It was so convenient to have both doctors in the same office. Everyone that works at Plaza Health Dentistry is helpful and friendly. They are very accommodating and make sure that our needs are met. I would highly recommend Dr. Fitzgerald if you are experiencing any kind of jaw discomfort. Each time I come in to get the jaw repositioner re-positioned, I am amazed at how much better my jaw feels the next day. I would also highly recommend the rest of Plaza Health Dentistry for any other dentistry needs. more

The entire staff is a blend of kind,caring,compassionate and highly knowledgeable individuals. My family and I are very pleased with all aspects of this office and I would recommend anyone, especially those who are nervous about dentists, to give them a try! I have been a patient of Dr. Schlotz's and Plaza Health Dentistry for almost 10 years. I started at PHD for general dentistry and tooth care and, over the years, have had several crowns put in place, veneers added in 2007, and a bite guard created recently to correct tooth damage from nighttime teeth grinding. The results of each experience have been excellent! Dr. Schlotz is the consummate professional - thoughtful, caring, and up-to-date on the latest advances in oral dentistry. He has surrounded himself with an amazing staff of dental technicians and assistants who are well-trained, friendly, and kind. In addition, is PHD's clerical staff who work patiently to schedule appointments and efficiently take care of all paperwork and financial concerns. I have been a patient of Dr Schlotz since I was a child. Dr S has always taken great care of my teeth from a few small fillings up to now (15 years later) Adult Cosmetic BRACES (with 6 Month Smiles system)!! Now that I'm to a point in my life, where I'm in college and pursuing a career, i feel that a perfect, straight smile speaks a lot about a person. I feel that having a straighter smile will help me feel more confident about myself, when its time to begin my career. It also couldn't hurt my dating experiences! Also more on a medical note, I understand that my improved "bite" may help to prevent future "Jaw Joint" (what they called TMJ??) issues - and that is very important to me (and my mom!). I have been in my braces for almost 5 months and have seen so much improvement with my smile already. Every time I return for an adjustment visit, I'm always treated great, any ??'s I have are answered and I'm told what to expect for my next visit. Dr S takes his time to ensure that my treatment is done correctly and thoroughly!! Dr S has been very helpful, he tells me what to expect, so there are no surprises!!! When I first came here I was very scared of going to the dentist. I had many bad experiences with several dentist.When I came to talk to Dr. Scholtz he was very forward with me and said he would do everything to make me feel comfortable. He has done that and more. I never have met a dentist like him and I can say he has kept his word and made me very comfortable with every visit. I can't imagine ever having another doctor working on me. He has made me feel so at ease and I never thought I would feel that. I would definiatly recomend him to anyone. He has more than kept his word and I am very proud to have him as my doctor. His staff is just as great as he is. They are so caring I concerned with making you feel comfortable. I will never be able to thank him enough or his staff for making feel comfortable with each visit. They are all a true blessing and I thank you for everything. You will always be #1 to me. You are a part of my family now and couldn't imagine not having them around. I actually enjoy coming to see everyone and I never thought I would say that about any dentist. This was the best dental experience I have ever had. I have always been very anxious and nervous about coming to the dentist. After my visits to PHD all of my anxiety is gone. The entire staff is some of the nicest people I have met. They were very concerned about my comfort level. I will definitely be returning here for any future dental work and plan to recommend everyone I know to come here. I visited another dentist before coming to see Dr. Schlotz, not only did they want me to pay a large amount of money they were also not very friendly. I am currently uninsured and am only a waitress. I don't have large amounts of money to spend on dental work. The doctor was able to help me with a cheaper and less invasive option for my problem. I was also on a time crunch because I will be leaving to go out of town, they were able to get me in two days after my initial visit to have the problem fixed. I appreciate everyone at this office and the help the provided me. Thank You!! more

Very concerned for my dental health. Today's procedure involved teeth cleaning-Lynda did her usual painless excellent job. Two cavities were brought to my attention and taken care of today-PAINLESSLY! Since I live about 100 miles from the office, 5 hours of driving was saved. That, together with the peace of mind about having the cavities filled made for a very pleasant experience. more

Dr. Schlotz and his friendly staff always take of my dental needs. They keep me informed during the my visits so I know exactly what to expect. I have had all different types of treatment preformed at PHD, from "Invisalign' to a Root Canal, to a Onlay, to a Night guard, to regular cleanings! All of the treatment that I have received through the years, has been "Top Notch"!! Dr. Schlotz and his staff go above and beyond to make sure that my needs are met everytime. Plaza Health has always provided friendly and timely service and they've been there when I've had a couple dental "emergencies". The dentists and staff are knowledgeable, professional and sympathetic. I've been through a couple of root canals with can very very scary but they got me through it. I would recommend Plaza Health to anyone looking for great dental care in the St. Louis area. more

I had a great experience at Plaza Health today. I had 3 fillings done and I was definitely a little nervous before (and I'm a nurse!), but it ended up being such an easy experience. I was given a button I could press that would stop the drill if I felt any pain (but I didn't need to use it - actually the drilling felt good, like a massage!) because the numbing stuff worked so well (and I only felt a tiny pinch when they used their wand numbing system). The entire staff worked hard to make sure I was comfortable and felt welcome. No wait before the procedure. I feel really excited that the decay is gone and that I did this before it all got more severe. I highly recommend getting any fillings/procedures or cleanings done at Plaza Health! more

Great experience! Everyone from the office staff, to the Dentist are excellent. Their chairside manners are amazing, very personable. They explain everything they are going to do and are very efficient and careful. Couldn't ask for a better experience. To top things off the office is very clean and state of the art. I have been going here for several years and love it. more
