D & D Overhead Door

Never use these guys! I ordered a door from Home Depot and the salesperson said it would be "about 3 weeks." at 4 weeks, I hadn't heard anything, so I called and they didn't know where the door was. At 5 weeks, they said the door would be at D&D the following Thursday. I live 250 miles away, so arranged to pick the door up from D&D. Found the place, got the door and the guy was friendly. I should have been suspicious when the box holding the hardware was open. When I got home I did an inventory and found that screws were missing, no flag brackets and the tracks were only 6 ft 4 in for an 8 foot door!!! After numerous calls to Home Depot, the brackets and track were sent to me. All went well until the last step - tighten the torsion spring. The guy at D&D gave me the wrong one - I needed a left handed spring and he gave me a right-handed one. He actually gave me an insulated door when I ordered a noninsulated one. This would have been ok for my unheated shop, but the added weight meant I HAVE to have the correct spring. It has now been 2 1/2 MONTHS since I ordered the door. It is in place, but I can't open it. I think this guy just gave me what he had lying around the warehouse. Use them at your peril! more

I recently wanted to spruce up the outside of my house and decided Garage Doors would do it. A friend of mine said you have to use D&D. I added beautiful new carriage house style doors to my home and D&D Overhead door educated me, worked with us in choosing, the installation was first class and it is great to know that there are still companies out there like D&D that care about the customer. more

I would not recommend this business. It took them forever to come to take measurements. I was given over three excuses why they did not come when then promised they would on three separate occasions. We were told how to frame the garage door, then, after framing is completed, we are told the they made a mistake and that we would have to correct their error. Salesaman stated over the phone he would make the order. When I call three weeks later to check, seems he never made the order. He said, "He left a message but that I never returned his call." Entirely not true. Don't use these guys unless you like costly mistakes and live for problems! I would recommend Costco. Pros: Great Prices until they mess up Cons: unreliable more
