I bought my used (let's all call it what it is, folks! ;) ) Passat here in 2002. The salespeople are very nice, which of course, you would hope, seeing as how their business depends on it. But after going through the whole rigamarole, I ended up with a nice car that I think I overpaid for. I would see the same car, same make, model and year for a $2-3K less in the paper (I know, I know, I shouldn't look, but I couldn't help but fulfill my need to see if my horrible feeling of having the wool pulled over my eyes was justified). On top of that, their service center isn't very good. I prefer Volxgerman in Kakaako for now...
