Best

Fresh bread and fresh baked goods who could ask for more!! It always smells like my house growing up when my grandmother would bake fresh every weekend and that

Worst

Not worth it. I enjoy baking and I loved all my culinary classes that had to do with baking. I know what a good cake should taste like and these are less than good. If I turned in...

How can you not? Pretty on the inside and out! ;) 12/14/2007

I would like to say that I am a cupcake expert. From California to Nevada I have tasted them all, well not really, but maybe someday! The Cupcakery is very near to my partners restaurant (Red Rock Chili, Co.) and it is always nice to stop in and have a treat. The cupcakes are not only beautiful but taste fantastic as well. From birthday parties to a job well done, a cupcake is an ideal way to celebrate! more

Birthday party cupcakes 12/6/2007

My daughter turned 7 a few weeks ago. Her only request was to have cupcakes from the Cupcakery at her birthday party. We ordered 3 dozen and they were all gone in no time. My wife had to drive up there to get another dozen. The assortment of flavors are endless and they are very generous with the frosting. My favorite is the red velvet with cream cheese frosting. I hear they are opening up a new location in summerlin, which will be great for us since we live over that way. The staff is always friendly and the bakery is set up very nice and homey. Not sure why the review before mine was so harsh. Take it from me...you won't go wrong with the Cupcakery. Give it a try! Pros: Freshness, variety of cupcakes, friendly staff more

Pathetic excuse for a cupcake! 12/3/2007

What a joke! Anyone who claims this bakery to be a jewel must be on something. Not only were the cupcakes dry and the frosting overpowering but the presentation also lacked originality. After eating cupcakes across the country, I am shocked anyone says this bakery is worth your money let alone the gas to get there! The staff was slow as molasses and rude. There was another customer there complaining that they had meesed up her custom order and no one even seemed to care! Don't by the hype... save your money and calories for something worthy. more

Nothing Like the Hypye it Receives!! 11/30/2007

I recently went to Cupcakery, and was highly dissappointed in the quality and taste of the cupcakes. We purchased three cupcakes which the total came to around 8 bucks. The chocolate peanut butter cake was extremely dry and had a very acidic taste, but the frosting tasted really good. The coconut one was also very dry and the frosting was so so. The carrot cake one was the best of the three, it was moist and tasted just like a fresh carrot cake. But overall for the cost and the hype that came along with it was extremely dissappinting. I was looking foward to those cupcakes because they are known to be the best in Vegas, boy was I dissappointed. more

My favorite bakery...even though it is across town 10/6/2007

I keep returning to this spot, even though I must drive 15 miles to get there. I have been a fan since they opened, and after trying some competition in other cities, and even here in Vegas, I have decided that they are the best out. Their flavors are fun and they keep coming up with new stuff. I just tried the pumpkin spice this morning, its their october flavor of the month, and it was just wonderful. My other favorites are the good morning cupcake, the coconut bliss and my all time fave the red velvet cake! The staff always remembers my name and they make sure to give me my frequent buyer stamp every time I get a dozen. Pros: great dessert, cool staff, worth the price Cons: they run out of cupcakes at the end of the day more

Best Cupcakes I have ever tasted. 10/6/2007

I consider myself a dessert critic to say the least. I have followed my passion for food around the world, and have found a few things that I would add to my last to my last meals on earth list...Cupcakery cupcakes have made the cut!!! I wondered in on recommendation of another food critic from NYC. I am from NYC as well, and was a little skeptical about finding dynamite desserts in a shopping center in suburban Las Vegas. Boy did I feel like an silly guy when I tasted the first one. I first tested out the Tickle Me Pink...the girls at the front counter seem to take extra enjoyment out of making fellows say the actual name of the cupcake when they order it. Don't try to order the ""pink one with sparkles."" It is simple and absolutely lovely. The cake had an amazing texture. It was the perfect blend of pound cake and angel food, giving it just the right consistency. The buttercream was obviously shortening free as it didn't stick to the roof of my mouth or have that nasty cheap bakery aftertaste. I went on to the Oh My Gosh Ganache, and was wowed again. The filling was to die for. It was like getting a chocolate truffle and a piece of cake all in one bite. Last but not least was the Southern Belle. It is their best seller, according to the southern girl who owns the place. I got the full scoop from her while I was there. It is her grandmother's recipe, and she has been making it for at least 50 years. That was pretty impressive to me. The staff was super warm and friendle, well as much as they could be. The store was packed and they were doing their best to keep up with the demand. I was surprised to find a line out the door when I showed up on a Saturday morning. That little place cranks it out. I can't say enough great things about this find. I recommend it to anyone traveling to or living in LV. Sweet are great, staff is wonderful, and it is an all around great experience. two thumbs up! Pros: The cupcakes are the best I have ever tasted, lots of variety, fun staff, good music Cons: waiting in line...they get a tad bit busy more

Cute and tasty cupcakes 9/11/2007

The first cupcake I had from this place was the red velvet - I never liked red velvet before this cupcake, but now I'm addicted. Each cupcake I tried was even better than the one before, even the sugar free. Peanut butter lovers should definitely check out the chocolate peanut butter one - imagine melted peanut butter fudge on top of a delicious chocolate cake. Definitely worth the asking price. Pros: Ambience, Parking, Service, Taste Cons: Prices a little higher than most would expect more

Just average cakes... 3/2/2007

I cannot understand why everyone raves about these cupcakes. (Perhaps I just got an old batch. Maybe I should give it another shot.) A friend of mine went on and on about how incredible they were. I just didn't see it. At $2.25 a cake, I guess I was expecting more. To me, I thought it was extremely overpriced for the product. It would have been different if it had been tasty, but to me, it didn't taste any better than cupcakes made from a box of Betty Crocker. Pros: frosting more

AMAZING CUPCAKES!!! 9/13/2006

We had a sales rep bring cupcakes into our office today. Not just any lame cupcakes, but the best friggin' cupcakes I have ever eaten in my life. My co-workers were practically falling all over eachother just to get to the box before they were all gone. The carrot cake cupcake was nothing short of amazing. So, to all the sales people out there, if you want more of our business, bring cupcakes and lots of them! more

The best cupcakes in Las Vegas!

Owner Message
  • The best little cupcakes in Vegas belong to Pamela Jenkins.

As owner of The Cupcakery, Las Vegas' premiere cupcake bakery, Jenkins has perfected the most nostalgic and favorite treat, the cupcake. With sophisticated flavors such as the Kir Royale and Chocolate Passion, the cupcake is no longer for children only.

Two years ago, at 25 years of age, Jenkins left a great job as an executive assistant to Timothy Poster, chairman and CEO of the Golden Nugget casino, to pursue her own business with two colleagues. The idea came during a particularly slow day in the office after reading about a lady in San Francisco selling homemade cupcakes out of her car. With the rise of cupcake bake shops across the country, Jenkins knew the cupcake business would be a sure hit in the Las Vegas valley. The doors opened in January 2006 and in the first year of business The Cupcakery sold more than 275,000 cupcakes.

Jenkins, who was born and raised in Jacksboro, Texas, studied in New York City, Spain, Argentina, and has traveled the globe. She is a total foodie, loving to visit the culinary establishments of Vegas. When Jenkins is not spending time creating new cupcake recipes, she spends time with her three dogs Josephine, Tora, and Calypso, riding horses and doing Bikram Yoga. Jenkins gets a kick out of being affectionately called Cupcake around town.

Jenkins hopes to open other boutique businesses, including a store for her own clothing designs which she currently sells to friends. Her future goal for The Cupcakery is to expand in both Las Vegas and nationwide. In Spring 2007, Jenkins bought out her original partners and teamed up with her Uncle Ricky. They are now conquering the cupcake world together, one city at a time.
