My hubby and I were jonesing for a wine bar, but wanted to avoid our usual haunt (Vinotecca) in Royal Oak because of the Dream Cruise. We decided to give this place a try. It was about 6:00 on Friday so we were hitting the dinner crowd and the place was rather loud due to the high ceilings. We each ordered a wine flight (2oz. servings of 3 wines) and he had a veggie pizza while I enjoyed the mozzarella salad. We were very satisfied with the food. Generous portions for the price. The wine, however, came to us in an attractive, but not very functional beer sampler format. The shot glasses did not allow the wine to breathe which did not have as dramatic an effect on my whites as it did on my hubby's reds. If you're going to put ""wine bar"" on your sign, I suggest you learn how to serve it properly. The shot glass format turned what I'm sure were solid red wines into something just shy of cough syrup. My beef with the wine presentation aside, I don't want to forget to mention how perfect the shot glasses were for desserts. The various mousse-style desserts (we had key lime & chocolate peanut butter) they offer are the perfect size to satisfy your after dinner sweet tooth without making you feel like you need to unbutton your pants. All-in-all a decent dinner experience. Just don't go here if you're looking for a wine bar - there's a reason pizza is listed first.
Pros: Reasonable price, good food
Cons: Loud, wine served in shot glasses
