The BEST place to board your animals. 7/12/2010

I'm absolutely shocked to see bad reviews about this place! I can't believe it. My dogs LOVE coming here. They pull me into the door and then with tails wagging, pull the staff to the back where they stay. When I board them else where, I have a hard time getting them in the door. They also stop eating and do not have a lot of energy and are not excited to me when I pick them up. However, when I pick them up from Creature Comforts Inn, they are excited and happy. The staff there is very, very friendly. I don't feel like I'm bothering them when I call to check up, in fact, they encourage it! Another thing I like about this place is when I pick my mutts up, they tell me certain behaviors that they have (as in one of my boys LOVES tennis balls, and they tell me that he carries it around with him everywhere and tries to put two in his mouth). This shows me that they do pay attention to my animals, and that really means a lot to me. They provide blankets and beds, as well as toys to play with. With an Animal Hospital right next door, I feel comfortable leaving my babies in case anything were to go wrong. Also, the groomer does an amazing job. She's very skilled and very good with animals. Clipping my boys nails is a hassle for me, but she was able to do it quickly and with no bleeding. They also smell SO good when I pick them up. I was looking at other boarding facilities reviews on here, and I can say that my dogs have never come home sick, they have never boarded in a crate, and have never come home injured. I will not being going anywhere but here. Pros: Friendly Staff, Vet Next Door, My Dogs = Very Happy more

Take your pet some place else 6/14/2010

I will not be returning to this place. My dog has had a lot of experience boarding in kennels prior to moving to NC with no issues to report. I chose creature comforts knowing it was close to home and that it is attached to a Vet so it must good... WRONG! The first trip my dog was there for a weekend and after bringing him home he had some odd scabs on his back inner thighs. I was only 90% sure they weren't there before I brought him and being that he is a bit neurotic I did not call and complain. Recently I needed to board him again for a weekend and was sure to inspect him thoroughly before drop off. When I picked him up I didn't notice anything right away. After a bath and a nap I was looking at this arms and legs and was horrified when I saw large scabs on 3 sides of his left upper arm. There is no way it was from him nervously gnawing or anything like that. I called and asked to speak to a manager. She had left for the day (odd it was like 2pm) I explained what I found to the girl on the phone and was transferred to another woman who told me that my dog doesn't sit still when he is there and he paces. She said that she didn't notice anything awry with him but that what she has seen happen with other dogs is that they graze up against the grate and the food and water bowls which catch their skin!!!!! Ok so this is something that has happened before and noticed but yet the bowls causing the problem have not be remedied? Odd. I told her I was glad to hear he wasn't in a dog fight or had his paw stuck in a chain link fence for a day as that is what it looks like. I hung up annoyed that she pointed out my dog's behavior and admitted that it was no big deal and happens. Also, they claim to be accredited by the American Boarding Kennel Association, I did a search and Creature Comforts Inn did not show up... I made sure to tell the girl on the phone this but she said she isn't the right one for that information. Spare yourself the headache and your pet cuts and bruises and go someplace else. I would have posted photos of the injuries here but am not sure that's possible. Cons: Poor animal care more

Unsafe for pets! 12/28/2009

This is a nicely set up kennel. However, my dog seems to get hurt every time she is there. This time it was a more major injury. Not only did the staff not notice the injury, they were rude and had a ""too bad"" attitude when I tried to discuss it with them. They obviously care more about getting your money than taking care of your animals. DO NOT TAKE your animals there if you want them to be safe. more
