I went to Tom to have my lip pierced - I was about 20 years old at the time, and inexperienced in the piercing/tattoo world. I TRUSTED Tom to take care of my needs and create a safe work environment. When he pierced my lip, he did NOT use gloves. I did not see him wash his hands, or use a new needle. During the entire process, he was making lewd advances towards me. VERY unprofessional.
I cleaned the piercing according to the instructions I was given at the shop and THEN some, but shortly afterward, I developed the worst infection I have EVER had. My lip swelled to 10 times its normal size, I had a fever of 103 degrees Fahrenheit, and the pain was unimaginable. When I came in to see him a few days after the first visit, he told me that it was not his fault, that it was "completely normal." I SERIOUSLY doubt that. I was in unbelievable pain, even after I basically forced him to take it out (much to his reluctance).
Now, my cousin goes to see him regularly, and I worry so much for her safety. She will not listen to me about the danger of this geriatric pervert, but hopefully some of you will! If I could sue him, by god I would have done it in a second.
