We just love Crabapple Academy! Not only are the owners and teachers wonderful, our daughter has learned so much! Anyone who meets her comments on how intelligent she is. We are so impressed with her education and are confident she is more than prepared for when she goes to elementary school. more

We absolutely love Crabapple Academy! It was so hard going back to work and leaving my little one in someone elses care. Crabapple Academy allowed me to visit before my child ever started and I was able to get to know the teachers working there. When the big day finally arrived I was put at ease knowing that Ms. Roberta and Ms. Debbie would be looking after my sweet girl. They are awesome and loving! We have been there for three years now and couldn't be happier! more

I can’t say enough great things about Crabapple Academy! Our daughters, ages 2 and 4, have been attending for 2+ years, which means we’ve experienced the infant room all the way to the GA Pre-K program. They love going to school here, which means we love it too! I have no worries about leaving them in their teacher’s care. The staff is fantastic, the meals are delicious (my older daughter tells me she often has two helpings at lunch!) and the facility is well maintained and equipped with a large playground for all attending age groups to enjoy. The girls are learning and having fun at the same time while in a safe, loving environment – what more could a parent ask for? more

Consistently excellent childcare for years 8/4/2008

We have used Crabapple Academy for our 8 year old for 5 years and our 2 1/2 year old since infancy; we have been very satisfied with the entire experience. The staff makes such a difference and their Center of Distinction honors has been a well-earned certification for this facility. We don't feel that you can get better guidance or management than from Miss Karen and every staff member (from Ms. Martha in the kitchen to the young adults who help with summer daycare program for older kids to consistently expert grade-level teachers) who know our kids and know how to care for them. The diversity/ trips for the older kids is great and the care and reporting for the younger kids is exemplary. Pickup from after-school has always been timely, safe and convenient and the meals and food are stellar (this is not a facility who recognizes ketchup as a vegetable!). Healthcare has always been first-rate, especially for one child with asthma and a need for multiple daily medications at times; never a rash or unexplained/ unexpected illness in over 5 years!\r \r We are both professionals and very picky ourselves; we have seen an occaisional bite from another toddler and once felt that some bullying was going on for our older son yet in any instance such as this, the staff was on top of the situation, explained it, and prevented any recurrance. It is sad to see that some other reviewers were so critical from isolated or very limited experiences; it is a daycare facility for kids! Raising children takes patience, persistence, experienced guidance, responsibility and love; we feel that we have gotten all of these things from Crabapple Academy consistently, excellently and for a great value. \r \r We recommend the facility to our friends as it was recommended to us; we have seen and heard of so much worse! We have a very hard time coming up with negatives for this group of caring, conscientious professionals and their constantly upgraded and well-maintained facility! Pros: Exemplary staff, diverse program, superlative childcare Cons: Very few, if any, over the 5 years we have been there! more

Really Nice School 7/30/2008

Our son has been going to Crabapple Academy for several years now. We have found it to be a very safe and loving environment for him. The turnover is very low if at all, the administration is understanding, the atmosphere is inviting and the teachers encourage creativity, expession, thinking, exploring and outdoor play (the playground is great). We have had a great experience there. I don't know if the mom who had a bad experience had sent her child to this Crabapple Academy location or the other one (I have not been to it but I know I never had anything close to unsafe happen to my child at this school). Overall, a pleasant experience and stress free childcare is not easy to find. Pros: Good Staff, Low Turnover, Great Playground, Happy Environment, Great Learning Atmosphere Cons: None that I can think of more

We LOVE Crabapple Academy!!!!! 7/16/2008

My child has been in Crabapple Academy since she was a baby. The teachers are loving, caring and attentive, some staff has been there for 14 years. The atmosphere is hom-ey and the administration (I have been there for about a year) send emails to reassure me when my baby (or her mama) was okay on days when it was hard to leave. The curriculum is strict and WAY above standard. They were named a Georgia Center of Distinction this year. There was a rough patch where admin was switching over to a new computer billing system but now it is smooth as butter. Overall, I would trust my child with only the best and I feel that Crabapple Academy fits that description. Pros: We love it! Cons: It is pricey but we think it's worth it. more

Beware!!! 6/10/2008

My son went to this school for two weeks and pulled him out! I came to pick him up (just under 2 years old)and he had a small toy wedged in the side of his mouth, that the teachers had no idea about! Then, I figured it was an honest mistake, so sent him back and one week later he came home with pink eye in both eyes and no one had called me!!!!!! They also thought it was funny that my son was ""wrestling"" other children. I do not encourage my son to fight... I don't know about other parents but....it was awful and run down, it also smelled like urine. I also never saw any organized activities, the kids were just running around when I was there. I definitely had a bad experience there. Pros: none come to mind Cons: saftey, smell, unprofessional staff, out of date... more

Mixed Review 3/20/2008

The owner really has some good ideas on raising well-rounded children (lots of outdoor time, and great interaction). The food was fantastic - I wanted to eat breakfast there every morning (not just cold cereal - but coffee cake or eggs or pancakes or muffins..... yum!)\r \r We loved the one-year old room, and likely would have loved the infant room. We were happy for quite some time, but found the two-year old room to not be terribly well managed for a time. Potty training went miserably - if the two-year old was asked if they wanted to go potty and responded ""no"" - that was marked as a ""refusal to go"". \r \r In general, very much a family environment with nice caring people, but not always strict from a management perspective.\r \r I believe I may be quite picky, though - I find things I would like to change at every center I've viewed. Pros: Some teachers, Cooking!, curriculum and outdoor activities Cons: Some teachers, potty training, cluttered appearance. more

I would recommend this daycare to ANYBODY!!!! The staff extremely low turnover, some being there since it opened about 10 years ago. My son went there for 4 years and now my daughter goes there! They are incredible people and it shows in the smiles in each of the children's faces!!! PLUS, Ms. Martha makes the best food! My son actually LOST weight going to kindergarten! He was well fed at daycare! Plus the local elementary school claims incoming kindegarteners from Crabapple are well-prepared and well adjusted! Pros: Low turn-over Cons: Older playgrounds more
