We have been going to Dr Gowans for about 12 years he and Dr Anderson are amazing with our animals when she couldn't help my cat she called me and waited to get there before doing anything more!! They are also great with our dog she has terrible allergies and they have found a great and inexpensive solution for her she has her spunk back I would and do recommended them to everyone!!! After being a customer there for sevral years with multiple pets ranging from 5 dogs, 2 cats and 2 horses I was happy through all the routine needs of my pets, even having to put 2 dogs to sleep when they were 16 y.o....but this week one of my dogs had a serious, life threating illness and when I turned to what I thought was a long time trusted partner in the health of my pets, I had 3 days of rudness, misinformation, conflicting information and out and out lies. at an upsetting stressful time, I couldn't get a straight or consistant anawer and when I tried to discuss my customer service concerns with the staff. I was given attitude, eye rolls, and they even went so far as to lie about what they had told my husband as to place the blame on him so I would be mad at him instead of them! UNBELEIVEABLE! 3 days and $345 later my dog is no better, and I know less about what's going on with her than I did before I called them because of all the conflicting information and out & out lies....but after giving them my last dime, I can't even try taking her to another vet. Im left with attempting to nurse her back to health myself! I never thought anyone could be so uncaring! more

It is so frustrating when it takes an hour to be seen while you watch your dog pace in agony. This wait is ridiculous and if I had more choices in this small town I would NEVER come here! more

I brought my yorkie mix fur baby to dr Anderson on an after hours emergency visit for my baby that was having nonstop seizures. I thought I was going to lose her, and dr Anderson didn't stop until her seizures had stopped . She was so caring and concerned. Needless to say, she got the seizures to stop . Annie (my pup) is apparently hypoglycemic and dr Anderson administered the glucose she needed. Not once did she say she couldn't do more. She did blood panels, gave her sedatives to calm the seizures, and waited around till Annie stopped seizing. She was to go out of town that weekend, and stayed late just for us. I've been bringing my dogs to her for the past year , and will continue. Love this place and would recommend to anyone who cares for their pets that are like family to you.. more

We have been going to Dr Gowans for 20 years now. He took care of our two dogs before they passed and now he cares for our four cats. He is wonderful. He is the kind of doctor you would like for yourself, but for those of us that have fur kids, we could ask for no better. Thanks Dr Gowans for all you've done for us all of these years. I waited in waiting room for 1hr. Front desk not very nice. When it was time for me to bring my dog back. The assistants, let me say two assistants had me (8months pregnant) lift my 20 lb dog onto the scale which meant I had to set my wallet and phone on their nasty ass floors. Then sat in the office room for another 30 min. When the vet came in..he was nice..except he did not have any assistants helping him...and he was going to have me lift my dog onto the table...then he asked if I needed help. Ummmmm ya! And the place is just absolutely discusting. I just moved here and will never come to this place again. I'm can not believe that everyone has given them 5 stars! more

Good: Dr. Gowns loves animals. He and his staff are very caring and concerned about your family and the animals that we love.. Bad: Nothing. Improvements: Nothing. Other: He is great what else can I say! :). more

Dr. Gowans cares for both of my cats and does a great job. He has a very calm demeanor that allows him to handle even my difficult cat without any issues. He really cares for animals and takes the time to ease your concerns and resolve the problems. His office staff is very helpful for a veterinary office. I appreciate the quality of service I receive here. more

Dr. Gowans is the main vet at Countryside Animal Clinic. I have taken three dogs there and have been happy with the service that Dr. Gowans has given us. He doesn’t seem to have a lot of patience, though, for skiddish animals. His staff is very friendly and we have never had to wait very long to get in. more
