Cottman Transmission Center

Had my transmission rebuilt 28K miles ago by those "other folks" across the street. Two major problems since $2500 rebuild, and of course neither covered under warranty. Reverse stops working....bring back to "other folks" and they want another $2500 to rebuild completely. Kent and Sue at Cottman, along with Chris, were a pleasure to work with, solved my problem for less than 1/3 what the "other folks" wanted to charge me, and knocked the work out in the same day. Great local folks who run an honest business! Stop here before seeing those "other folks"! more

Firstly it is hard to trust any dealership with you car and customer service is not good everywhere. I have taken my car to this location and they were so helpful and explained everything to me. I would recommend this place to anyone. more

If you go to the mechanic, the guy has to be good and honest. After searching for a place to replace my clutch in my honda, I called at least 5 places in the area. From the time they answered the phone to the moment they checked the car and going into detail about repairs and price the people at cottman were very excellent about everything. They worked with me on the price making sure nobody else would fix it cheaper and better and even gave me a ride back after I dropped off the car. Pros: Very honest and knowledgeable. Cons: Their electrician forgot to connect back my radio more

If only all of the other transmission repair places were this honest. Cottman listened to me and helped my car get back on the road without trying to get me to rebuild the entire transmission, which turned out to be unnecessary. more

Mike spoke with me Saturday and was completely honest about everything...wouldnt guarantee me a price..schooled me in what MAY make my car shut off at red lights...etc...3 other places (Goodyear, etc) guarunteed me it was my catalytic converter...and it would cost me $1056 or $850...I felt safe in letting Mike run the test on my car, simply because he wasnt going to do anything to my car that would cost ANY $$$ until he diagnosed and checked with me...other places would charge at least $100 just to look at it...I am glad I went here because it was a simple clean some air flow meter for $110...How can someone quote $1000 site unseen. Not this place...I will definitely come back here and definitely tell others about this place. I would reccomend this place to everyone! Pros: TRUSTWORTHY Cons: None! more

Cottman Transmission Marietta has the most qualified and knowledgeable staff. I would not trust any other auto business when it comes to my car. Expectations are always exceeded! Pros: Quality Service Cons: Have not found one yet. more
