this is the absolute WORST BRIDAL SHOP 5/31/2012

this is the absolute WORST BRIDAL SHOP EVER-.Norma is part owner and seriuosly needs to seek professional help- she is a nasty and unstable woman- she offends the customers and after three alterations didnt get it right then charged me anyway- The people - especially Norma are rude and unhappy people .. They really ruined the whole bridal-wedding experience...In todays social network society- I would think they would try a bit harded to be customer friendly.. I will definatly tell anyone who will listen to me to avoid this place.....The shop is run down and so are the staff- the oil they got on my gown was eith sewing machine oil or one of the staff used my gown as a napkin- When i vioced my concern over the staff-Normas masty comment- i was tol she is the part owner- so nothing would be done about it... Well maybe not - but I can do something about it-I paid my bill took the gown to a real seamtress and got it fixed- Now I am on a mission- If anyone I know wants to use Coronet- I will tell them my horror story- and they will tell the people they know -who will tell people they know- Norma- YOU ARE A MEAN AND NASTY WOMAN- THE UNHAPPINESS OOZES OFF YOU...HOW MANT POOR REVEIWS DO YOU NEED BEFORE YOU GO ON SOME MOOD STABILIZERS- GET A CLUE more

DONT GO!! 6/14/2011

I went here with an appointment. Yes it was a Saturday I know places can be busy, but I had an appointment. The consultant asked me what I was looking for, I told her. I'm open minded, I'll try anything but I was sure to tell her what I didn't like. She said she would pull things and told me to look around (so far seems pretty standard). The place is CRAMPED with dresses. Tons of dresses in the bags packed on the racks, its near impossible to tell what the dresses really look like. I looked as best as I could and pulled 2 dresses. She takes them to put them in the room and said, ""are these the only two?, well I'll leave you to put them on"" and walked out and brought no dresses in. Umm excuse me, I pulled gowns bigger than me I need help. Turns out she was helping the people in the next room (theres only 2 rooms) and according to what my mother heard they had been there a long time. I managed to get one on, which I hated but was likely due to my mood and then got dressed and left, didn't even say goodbye. If you are running over time, just tell me, its better to wait since you know whats in the inventory and all I can see is white fabric in vacuum bags, plus assist me. I don't care what you sell, that's not how you run a business. Ladies, don't waste your time more

Worst service once you pay 5/30/2011

I got my bridal gown from them. It was beautiful and resonably priced. The alterations were terrible, seams not down the middle, pieces not taken in. She actually said ""wear tape on your breasts"" so she didnt have to complete the $300 alterations. Then, they did not put my veil (bought and paid for) in with my gown. They had the nerve to clam I lost it. It took over 5 phone calls to get them to pay for it, at which time they insulted me. (as if I didnt spend enough money in your store). It was terrible experience on what should have been the best time of my life. Listen brides and moms - dont put yourself through it - go somewhere else! more

Alteration chop shop!! 4/27/2010

$60 flat rate alterations for the most careless amateur sewing I've ever seen: 1) Took shoulders in at the wrong place & left all the extra fabric in the dress. 2) Sewed the tulle to the middle of the skirt lining instead dropping from the waist & left the entire waist seam open and frayed! 3) Sewed over top of the zipper instead of shortening it (*wouldn't have needed to be shortened if they didn't order the next size up of a dress that already ran big but told me it didn't! I ordered a tea-length dress, the dress size I got hung just above my ankles) 4) The dress is still baggy in odd places b/c she refused to do anything other than take up the shoulders and hem even though I pointed out the other problems during fitting. BOTTOM LINE: buy your dress there, but don't let them touch it!! Seriously, it looks like a rabid ferret got in a fight with the underside of my dress. Pros: friendly customer service, great selection, huge sale rack Cons: butchered alterations, inexperienced staff, crowded more

Great service, affordable gowns 1/19/2010

I just ordered my wedding gown from Coronet. Everyone was friendly and helpful especially Julie and Jess. They really know all the gowns well and because they have alot of experience they gave me really useful feedback on the sizing, availability, etc. that other bridal shops couldn't. They also had a wide selection of gowns at affordable prices and their alteration prices are pretty good too. Pros: Wide variety of gowns, friendly knowledgeable staff Cons: Bridesmaid gowns difficult to sort through more

Great Customer Service!! 10/30/2009

I have only been to coronet once so I can't say I have met all of the staff and maybe they used to have horrible staff or still do for all I know but when I was there earlier in the week a girl named Julie helped me. She was AWESOME!! so polite and helpful. She didn't put any pressure on me to buy a dress she let us take pictures and she was more than willing to help with anything I needed. So dont be alarmed by all the bad comments. I don't know what was up with the past employess but I highly recommend Coronet Bridal if you are still unsure about going just ask for Julie. You will definitely be pleased! Pros: so friendly, great prices, big selection more

BEST BRIDAL SHOP EVER!!!!!! 9/9/2009

This bridal shop is fabulous. I practically live in this place and know all the staff on a first name basis. The first time I went in there I knew exactly what i wanted so I didn't have to search around. I didn't have an appointment but it took all of 5 minutes. Julie and Jess are amazing and know exactly what to pull out for you. I can't say enough about this place. and Norma is the sweetest ever and she really knows what she's doing in the dress industry. Whatever bad things people have to say, you have to see to believe... so try it for yourself. I can't see someone throwing a pedestal I mean come on people!!!!!!! Pros: Wonderful Service, Amazing Prices Cons: trying to find additional reason to go buy a dress there.... more

Coronet will always have a place in my heart! 8/27/2009

I got married a little over a month ago and had bought my gown, my girls dresses, and both my mom's and mother-in-law's gowns from Coronet! From the day we walked in with an appointment to the day I took my dress home in mint condition, everyone had a truly wonderful experience (and that wasn't without difficulty) Pros: Fantastic Staff, Great Alterations, Affordable Cons: Often crowded more

Why did I call to make an appointment? 8/24/2009

I was just in this shop this weekend. I called the week before to make an appointment and was excited to go to the shop. Several of my friends have gotten their dresses from this shop, but now I am left wondering why I even bothered to call and make an appointment. First of all I walked in the door and waited for 20 minutes before anyone talked to me. I understand being busy but a greeting would have been nice. Once someone was available (sorta) I told them what I was looking for and she said "" ok well here's our racks, just look through them"". Now to be fair she did pull a couple dresses for me but then she put me and my 2 friends in a dark room with a tilted mirror and shut the door. In the meantime someone just walked in (no appointment, we know this because we heard them say it) and they lavished her with attention, put her out in front of the ""good mirrors"" with better lighting and everything. I should have just walked in without an appointment and maybe I would have had a better experience. Needless to say I will not be getting my dress there! If your in the market for a dress I would suggest L&H Bridal or Sposabella, don't even bother with this place. Cons: Totally Ignored more

They order the wrong size and leave you with it 5/28/2009

My fianc???? ordered her wedding gown and a bridesmaid dress the same day. When the gowns came in only 1 fit even though the same measurments were used. When she tried on her dress they said it was at least 2 sizes 2 small and that they wouldn't even be able to let it out enough. They were the ones that told her wgat size to get but they will not do anything to fix it now me and my fianc????e are out 1200 dollars and a wedding gown more

Run For Your Life! 5/1/2009

My daughter and grandaughters are in a wedding and went to Coronet for their dresses. One of my grandaughters is pregnant and needed to have her dress adjusted .It was supposed to be ""no problem"" - by Norma (who worked in shop and is half-owner) It was agreed that panels would be inserted to keep the line of the dress like the other girls. Instead ""Norma"" hiked the dress up so that the dress looked empire instead of like the rest. It was Norma who suggested the panels, but continually hiked up the dress after she was asked not to.She did not seem to want to do anything except what she herself wanted to do. She made a rude remark about my grandaughter being Cons: Rude Customer Service- Extremely Unprofessional Person more

This shop made all my dreams come true when I thought they'd never happen! 9/17/2008

I heard about Coronet from a friend who had recently gotten married and had the most wonderful experience at their shop. My mom and I went as a last resort. I had been everywhere and was so picky I never thought I'd find my gown. The consultant I had, Julie, took a look at my pictures and literally brought me every gown she thought I might like. What a selection! I tried on three gowns and found it! My mom and I both were so excited! Pros: Unbeliveebale selection, Professional staff, Miracle seamstresses. everything! Cons: Store is a little small and hectic on the weekends- more

Do not even enter this shop. 7/31/2008

Do not waste your time and energy with this shop. One of my bridesmaids who is also getting married had her mother and grandmother buy their dresses here. First, they forgot to order an extra sash for the dress (which was on the order form) then decided to VELCRO the straps she wanted put on her dress and told her to uses double-sided tape to be safe. Then her 78 year old ,modest grandmother wanted them to move her straps over a bit so it would hide her bra straps and the woman told her to ""s u c k it up and use a strapless bra"" Apparently they have absolutely no respect for customer service or elders. So the bride called to complain of course of how rude they were, and the one worker ""Norma"" was so out of line that she had the nerve to call my friend and her mother ""f- ing bitches and never to walk in her shop again."" So share this information with your friends so they dont have to deal with this stuff right before there wedding. Do NOT USE CORONET BRIDAL!!! Pros: Horrible customer service, rude Cons: Go somewhere else for your dress shopping this will only be stressfull and upsetting more

great service, helpful 3/3/2008

The staff was so nice to me. And brought in dresses they thought I might like. I was allowed to take pictures, which was important to me. They also had good lighting. I was left alone in the room to change, where I could easily write down the designer and prices for the dresses I liked. This was helpful. It's too far from where I live to purchase a dress from here, but I would definitely recommend it. I ended up getting a dress from a bridal shop closer to my home, and it ended up being one that I did try on at Coronet. Pros: helpful staff, allowed to take pictures, access to designer names, has its own webpage more

Excellent Service! 2/2/2008

Since my bridesmaids are from out of state and have children we decided we needed to go to as many stores as possible in one day! After two very disappointing visits to other stores who provided us with less than poor service, we begrudgingly headed to Coronet Bridal...and boy am I glad we did. The girls there were so helpful & courteous and extremely accommodating to all of our requests. We were looking for bridesmaid dresses & since they have such a large selection, it was taking us quite some time to narrow everything down...so long in fact that we were still there when they were closing...and yet another great move for their service, they did not rush us or harass us to leave. We stayed about 15 minutes after they actually closed and everyone continued to serve us in a professional and courteous manner! I had a great experience & I am very happy to be doing business with this store. I highly recommend this store to all brides out there! Pros: Extremely courteous and helplful staff. Cons: Store is a bit crowded, which is partly due to their large selection. more

Happy shopping experience 11/23/2006

This shop has it all. An enormous selection of reasonably priced gowns (I was looking at the $1000 price range), cheap alterations and friendly, helpful service. If you want to feel relaxed and happy while trying on bridals, this is the place to be. Pros: Cheap alterations, very friendly salespeople, great selection. Cons: Too far from where i live :o( more

Great Service 9/12/2006

I LOVE this shop. I am a plus sized bride to be and went as far as DE looking for dresses. I called and got an appointment that day. The women who work there are awesome. I tried on 13 dresses in my size and they had more for me to try on. They were very nice people who did not rush you at all. They even let me come back and try on the dress I was buying to show my maid of honor. I am definitely going to get my bridesmaids dresses there if for no other reason other than for their professional attitude. I went to at least 8 different bridal shops and did not recieve the service anywhere else that I got here. Pros: Great selection and staff Cons: only that it is a bit of a ride but well worth it more

don't even bother 2/19/2006

this dress shop has a lot to offer with competitive pricing. Certain staff members made people trying on dresses feel uncomfortable about dress selections as well as comments about body size. Rude, unaccomodating and just not worth the trip. Keep going and find a shop more customer oriented. Pros: inexpensive, good selection Cons: disorganized, customer service, rude more

Poor Customer Service 2/18/2006

When visiting the Coronet Bridal Shop, my friend and I experienced very poor customer service. The bride did not receive assistance in selecting dresses even with an appointment. Once she began trying dresses on, the salesperson continually told her she was ""too big"" for the dresses. She suggested to my friend who is a size 8-10 that she should be wearing size 20 dresses. My friend left with damaged self esteem and the whole experience was a disappointment. I would NOT reccommend to anyone to visit the Coronet Bridal Shop. I will not be when it becomes time to shop for my bridal gown. more
