Copa Cabana Tanning Salon

I recently just started tanning here and I really like it. I usually dont write reviews but I thought it might be helpful for anyone looking for some place to tan. Im not from the area, and I use to go to the same salon for years where I previously lived so i knew it was going to be frustrating trying to find a good salon to go to. I had tried a popular chain salon but the prices were so high that i had to stop going. I must say that Copa Cabana has much friendlier customer service and Ive never waited for a bed. Their prices are great too, there are a lot of different options and i didnt feel so pressured into committing to a package that might get too expensive for me. compared to some of the other salons out there id definitely recommend giving it a try. If I had heard about this salon sooner, I wouldve just went here in the first place. more

I too have tanned all over, different states, and places, and I love Copa Cabana, I have been tanning for 2 years and so have some of my family, and we love it. Waverly is awesome and so is other staff members. I don't tan real easy, but with the lotion they have told me to use and there turbo beds, I now tan very good. If you want a awesome tan and to be relaxed, you need to go to COPA CABANA TANNING!!!!!!! more

I just started tanning there last week. I loooove it! I've only gone 3 times and im super dark already. They're very friendly people. They have awesome deals. I plan on never leaving that place to tan any where else. The beds are always hot and the BULBS have NEVER been BURNT OUT! Its just as good as Aztec tanning salon in Portage Indiana. I use to tan there before i moved out here. I heard about Copa on the radio and gave it a shot. Im super excited that i did. I Love tanning there and its not that far of a drive. Keep up the good work ladies! =) Pros: Excellent service, awesome beds, friendly place to be Cons: Lotions arent cheap but thats any where now a days more

I have been tanning there for about 6 months&i love it WaverLy makes going fun and is always in a wonderful mood. I joined the copa club& 18.88 you can't beat it. The excalinaR bed is the best. Only complaint is the lotion selection&prices but easy to get over cause the beds are great for the price. I LOVe it. more

i have been tanning for 9 years now i have been to many different states and salons in every state i have been to. This is by far the worst salon. There prices are outrageous the service is terrible. The people there were so rude and pushy, and the beds wow...they were so old...and squeaky..also some of them have small cracks developing. The bulbs barely tanned me..and i tan very easily!! This place is out of date and overpriced!! Pros: nothing Cons: everything more

Ok apparently you have to be PG-13 when writing a post in here so I just want to say anyone who speaks negatively about this place neads a head examination. This place is AWESOME and Waverly is AWESOME she makes you feel right at home...where else can you pay a monthly fee and actually enjoy it??? Richard..just stop... Waverly doesn't want you and I know it may hurt but eventually you will recover...this place is affordable, clean and classy so I would definately recommend evryone to come get naked at Copa Cabana Pros: EVERYTHING Cons: NOTHING more

i just want to say that i absolutely love.. i mean LOVE copa cabana. their beds are amazing.. especially the excalibur! the prices are cheap and the staff always has a warm smile! i would reccommend copa cabana to anyway that is interested in tanning! like i said.. the beds are amazing! they are always hot and i never leave dissatisfied. they have a great selection of tanning lotions, and i always try to try new ones out. the prices are not too expensive.. they are definately manageable. copa is also really clean. i have never had a dirty bed and the bathroom, even, looks like it is cleaned after each use. copa is definately the place to be. the atmosphere is always tropical and happy! waverly is an awesome entrepreneur and she knows what she is doing. she is always friendly and remembers almost everyones name by heart. if you wanna tan.. definately try copa. more

I had to write something after reading some of the awful things people put about Copa Cabana on here. I've been tanning there for almost a year now, i love it and reccomend it to all my friends. The staff is amazing! I think by my third time in there, they had remembered my name...they give great deals, and the beds are always really clean. I love to tan and i've tried out a couple places but none compared to Copa. I never have to wait for a bed either. I cant say enough about this place. The lotion isnt overly priced, uhhh if you go tanning you should know that thats the price anywhere you go. plus i just found out by signing up you even get a discount on the lotion! Point is, i love copa cabana....you guys are awesome! more

I usually don't write reviews like this, but after reading what Russell Johnson had to say, I felt compelled to set the record straight. I have been a member at Copa Cabana for several years, and have NEVER had a negative experience there. The salon is always clean, which is a big deal to me, and I know for a fact that the bulbs are changed on a regular basis and I have NEVER had a bed with any burnt out bulbs. I have tanned at salons all over Hampton Roads, and I can tell you that Copa Cabana is by far the best. The best beds, the best prices, but what really sets them apart is the best people work there. From day one that I joined, I have always been treated like I was a top priority, no matter who was at the counter. I'm always greeted with a smile and made to feel welcome, and I really appreciate the fact that everyone, fron Waverly on down, knows me by name and is genuinely glad to see me when I arrive. I'm the type of person who will always pay more for good service rather than a discount and having to deal with an a***ole, but at Copa Cabana, I get it all and then some. I don't know how anyone could possibly have anything negative to say about Copa Cabana. I guess my question to Mr Johnson would be : Where does one find a pill that would make one so delusional? Yet another reason why ""johnson"" is a euphymism. If you are a tanning enthusiast like me, or want a killer manicure or pedicure, do yourself a big favor and visit Copa Cabana. Although I appreciate that he had guts to put his name on his comment.& anyone saying something negative that can?t put there name on it is probably an ex employee was fired because they got caught stealing.As any business owner, I would like to make customers happy & provide good service.I can assure you,you have been given the upmost respect & consideration.When I spoke to you directly, you were very pleasant.& when you spoke to me,you very sincere & respectful.I find it odd that I addressed all your concerns when you spoke to me directly & not to my goldfish staff.There were no bulbs out.All of my bulbs have been replaced as they are every year & would be glad to provide the receipt of purchase to anyone.I guarantee any customer that they would be in a clean & safe environment,& they always get there $ worth.I have never failed a safety inspection nor failed a health inspection.Perhaps you do not like this style of tanning,or I just can?t make you happy.I strive to try & please every client all the time & have failed in your regard.I find it hard to believe that the way you spoke to me in regards to supporting small businesses warranted this type of statement to try & bash a small business or ruin them.You can simply go to another salon,but to get on a public forum & run a company down on falsehoods just shows your vindictiveness.I challenge every consumer to visit my salon,give me the opportunity to redeem myself from such a heinous comment.I welcome you with open arms. more

I would not go to copa cabana ever again. Its not the best tanning salon ive ever been to and the owner is skitzo. Very un plessent and the employees change every 2 weeks. Pros: parking Cons: outgoingly fake, dirty beds, rip off on lotion price more

As someone who tanned at Copa Cabana for eight plus years I cannot say enough great things. Copa Cabana is a great tanning experience in a friendly atmosphere, especially if you don't require the uppity attitudes and drama provided with your tan at other salons in the area.
