Cookes Skate Supply

I've search and searched and have traveled quite far till I found Cooke's Skate Supply. I needed a pair of figure skates and living in Southern Vermont could not find a skate supply store that would help me understand the difference in skate boots and blades, until I found Cooke's. The service is welcoming and supportive to all levels of skaters. I have just purchased my second pair of skates and was surprised to find that the price was less the some of the "Discount Skate Shops" on line. \r These guys care about what they sell and make sure the fit is right. I have been a customer for more than 17 years. As an increasingly creaky adult figure skater I cherish the care they lavish upon my feet and my skates. I was very nervous about buying really good skates, but the care shown in fitting them, setting the blades, and the quiet, no pressure atmosphere made the process a joy. Yes. I laid out $400 plus (in 1993) and more since then, but if I am going to spend hundreds of hours a year on skates why wouldn't I want the best, chosen and fitted by the best?\r \r I skate for the joy of it, no competition, costumes, etc. but even if I did have those expenses nothing contributes more than the right skates.\r \r Once I bought my skates and blades there has been superb service, making skillful adjustments to the positioning of the blades as my body has aged and without charge. Wow. After visiting ice skating and sporting good stores in Natick, Wellesley, Newton, and Lexington, this place blew my socks off. Best selection, best waiting area, FABULOUS service. The prices aren't cheap--because they carry the best. Get an appointment if you need a skate fitting or you may end up waiting a while; however, the personalized service and expert fit are worth the wait. more

recentley i took my 4 yo daughter for skates at cookes , they treated her like a world class skater , great expeirence worth the trip great job guys ,\r \r they took their time and made sure my daughter had a proper fit , i could not have asked for a better expeirence for her , i purchased a pair of skates for her at a local sporting goods store they gave me skates that where 1/2 size to big i was instructed to put tube socks on her she needed growing room \r \r cookes took their time measured her feet and gave her the best skates for her great job guys thank you more

Cookes is actually good sized store packing in the retail area as well as a large amount of space for reapir and customising in the back. the guys at this shop are real experts, they love their sport and will really help you out. the prices are nothing special, but the quality of service makes it really worth it. is cookes does not have what you need they will gladly order it in or in some cases even fabricate exactly what you need. this place can do anything that you need for skaing. They will repair anything that can be repaired and sell everything a figure skater or hockey player would need. It is THE place to go in MA and NH for supplies. Especially for figure skates. the shop is always cleand and employees helpful. PROS: CONS: Not TAX Free more
