Be aware -- Casco Bay Eyecare is very deceptive! Make sure you ask them whether a simple eye exam is covered by the insurance you carry! I had my 2nd annual eye exam with this group, and my Insurance had changed due to a job change. I informed their staff of this upon arrival as well as provided them my insurance card (Anthem), a major carrier here in Maine. They did not inform me that they do not take Anthem...and now they're charging me for the full amount of the eye exam!!! The issue I have with this is that they made no effort to tell me that they did not accept Anthem insurance, and I can't imagine that it was the first time they had ever seen it. VERY underhanded. Suffice to say this relatively new customer will never go back there, and I encourage you readers to seek alternatives for your vision needs -- they are not interested in helping you, only getting your money!
