I completely understand that OBs often have to go to deliveries and patients must wait. I shadowed OBs for eight years in high school and pre-med undergrad. Plus, I am a homebirth client, so I understand a doctor wouldn't want to sit and chat all day to me, too. \r
BUT, Dr. Jackson came in quite hurriedly after we waited for TWO HOURS. We were only waiting on an ultrasound to determine a due date for our midwife. \r
I don't think she smiled the whole time, and didn't seem very interested in us AT ALL. As the other reviewer said, YOU ARE JUST A NUMBER TO HER. I am having to get a second ultrasound because her measurements do not match my uterine fundal height or LMP (which both measure me around 16 weeks), and I was advised that she has misestimated a due date before by a month, so I'd better get another opinion. Plus, I am feeling distinct fetal movement, and when I asked, she simply dismissed it. ""Some people can feel it at 12 weeks"" is all she said. I am a first time mom. You think I can feel such distinct movement at 12 weeks!?\r
Seriously, I never saw her smile. You'd think someone who delivers babies would be nicer.
Pros: I got an ultrasound picture?
