We found a bowl that we wanted to purchase that was clearly marked on the sales tag $8.50. We took the item to the register to pay for the item. The owner of the store came over to her husband that was checking out the item and asked to look at it. She took the item and then said that she thought the price listed was wrong. She then proceeded to go online and research the item to see what the value was.She then approached me and told me that the item she felt was worth $50.00 and her employee must have marked it wrong. She refused to sell us the item and asked for our phone number so she could research the item further and would call us at a later time.We refused and told her that her actions were illegal. She said she didn't care, that she was the owner and she could do as she pleased in her own store. We informed her that we would be calling the Attorney General and Consumer Protection Agency. She told us to go ahead.
