While all the staff was really good, Chloe, Aretha, Ty, and Kayla went over and beyond. They were cheerful, efficient, anticipated my needs, and made good suggestions.

Great facility and fantastic staff 5/23/2025

I stayed here for about a month for my rehab and I am glad that I chose this facility! The nursing staff was very nice and helpful throughout my time there. I highly recommend community south for anyone going through rehabilitation! Overall very positive all around and the highlight of my experience would definitely have to be my physical and occupational therapists. My occupational therapist Raquel and my physical therapists Micaela (Mitch) and Sarah did an amazing job and really put a great effort into helping me recover. more

I would give you a 6 if I could. Everybody is so supportive and friendly. I have never had any doubt. I had confidence in everyone. Support has been awesome! Therapist Sarah and Brett were outstanding. The whole nursing staff was awesome. more

Very thorough, cares about patients, Dr. were great. Therapist were awesome. Kitchen staff did a great job. Case mgmt thank you. Elevators very clean. more

Staff is amazing! 9/9/2022

Staff has been great! They are wonderful and I cannot say enough things about how great here. To single anyone out would be unfair because they were all fantastic. Food was okay, better than other hospitals. Always on time and warm. Would recommend as a great Hospital to stay at! more

Amazing staff 8/5/2022

First day was rough, but the staff came around and cheered me up and made my stay great. Staff was great, Lonnie, Candice, Garrett were fantastic. Dr G was a great dr. Kris was the best in case management and did everything! Would recommend more

Amazing nurses and staff. 5/10/2022

Nurses wI experienced were top notch, they were great all week. Chasidy Stevens was a phenomenal nurse. Therapy was fantastic all over. Lauren in speech therapy was the best. more

Loving care and staff 4/22/2022

I have gained a lot of confidence through therapy. I am excited to go home because of that confidence. Martha is a fantastic nurse and I love her! She really helped me when I first arrived and would always show a high level of care for me. Great staff overall, Caroline was great in therapy! Kris is a diamond, and took care of everything so I have no worries. Kris helped to keep communication with my family. Grace was personable and helped me with difficult tasks. Food was good and tasty, and had many favorites! Groups therapy was neat and I enjoyed it. more

Amazing staff 4/20/2022

My favorite thing is the techs, great staff. PG, Stephanie and Lauren were the greatest! Nursing was great as well, Janette was a good tech. Loved the oatmeal here. Dr Hunt and Dr Gangadhar were both amazing! more

Great stay with good food. 4/6/2022

Very friendly staff all around. Good food, the best was taco salad and French toast. Taught me things I had forgotten to do. PG was excellent for my therapy and Stephanie! Excited to go home. more

Fantastic stay 4/1/2022

I was able to function without any assistance, walk long distances, do things in kitchen, get in car after my stay at Community South Rehab. Staff that really stood out were Ally and Kirsten. Food was very good for hospital food. Looking forward to OP therapy and getting back to where I was before being in the hospital, want to go bowling again, would come back again. more

Good Experience 9/27/2021

Good experience. The staff has been really friendly and helpful. The nursing staff has been wonderful. I am going to miss my therapy team. They explained all my goals and are even sending me home with educational work sheets with exercises. I appreciate all the accommodations that were made for me and my husband. The hospital is very tidy in all areas. Dr. G came in everyday and evaluated my needs. He was very helpful and answered my questions. My case manager and therapists worked together to help me get everything ready at home for arrival there. I appreciate all the hard work all the staff put into my recovery. more

Everyone was personally invested in my recovery 9/24/2021

I was impressed with how the staff handles themselves with patients. Everyone is very friendly. Everyone takes your successes personally and wants you to succeed. Every therapist and nurse took a personal interest in me and was truly concerned about me. They all wanted me to achieve my goals. Therapy set goals and I achieved all my goals, I will leave at total independent status. I wanted no dependency when I leave and I achieved that. Dr. G came in everyday. He met all my needs and seemed generally concerned. Again, I felt that everyone was personally invested in my recovery and I can’t thank them enough. more

2nd Stay here, both times have been great! 9/21/2021

This is my 2nd stay here. Both times everyone was very encouraging without being pushy and everyone is willing to help. It has been a great stay. I cannot say enough about your Nursing Staff, they are wonderful. Not one person has given me a frown. I was always met with please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you. The Therapy Staff, especially Ally and Makenna, have helped me get stronger with their encouragement and keeping me going without being pushy or snotty, very sweet people. The cleanliness of the hospital was subpurb. I loved Dr. G and Dr. Hunt. They are both very responsive and any time I had issues with my medications, they were Johnny on the spot. I saw Dr. Hunt over the weekend and Dr. G came and saw me in the therapy gym. I made a medicine request and by noon, I had what I had asked for. It has been a very, very, very good experience. I feel confident in my release and going home and that I can take care of myself with no much intervention. more

Everyone here is wonderful 9/20/2021

Everyone here is wonderful. I have been to a lot of different facilities and by far this is the best. Each person has a different personality that makes their contribution to care very special. Everyone always has a happy face and really worked to make my stay pleasant. Kirsten the OT is phenomenal. She has a very good personality and very happy. Ally the PT is wonderful. Therapy department is top notch and they work well with me to try and reach my goals. Nursing has been good. Very friendly facility and everyone goes above and beyond to really work to help the patient. Ally even said that she tries to put herself in the patients position and see their perspective. I truly appreciate the care that I have received. I would not hesitate to come back here. I usually use all IU facilities and docs, but I am now sold on Community. more

Everyone was wonderful 9/16/2021

Everyone was wonderful, everybody and I mean everybody here was wonderful. I could stay here permanently. I was treated like on of the family. I was reluctant on coming to a rehab facility, because of my previous experience at another facility, but this has been a very pleasant experience. The therapy staff are all doll babies, especially PG and Kristen, they worked the hell out of me, but I am thankful now! I am doing so good that I am going home on my own. Nursing staff was nice, especially Dorota. I loved her, she was so sweet and comforting to me. Kris was so helpful to me. Ida in Dietary is so funny. Rosie, Kathy and Candace in EVS were wonderful to me, I enjoyed our conversations. Everyone was very helpful to me. I am going to cry on my way out the door, I will miss everyone so much! more

  • We offer specialized treatment programs for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation and orthopedic injury as well as other injury and illness. Our rehabilitation programs are centered around the individual needs of each patient to improve health, function and quality of life. Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities differ from other post-acute options most notably in the amount of therapy offered and medical oversight provided. We offer specialized therapy, rehab-trained nursing care, rehabilitation physician involvement and disease state management tailored to our patient population. Our patients receive at least 3 hours of therapy at least 5 days each week.
