LITSEY REPRIMANDED BY STATE 1/7/2013

Notice the picture: Negligence / Malpractice. Our dog died whil getting his teeth cleaned, and Litsey, without our permission cremated him. Horrible! This man is a liar, and complete scum, in my opinion. Don't believe me- look it up on the state's website, as this is public record. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 7/6/2012

I have had nothing but a great experience with Litsey. Three different occasions they helped me out with my kitties. They were absolutely covered in fleas and they sold me the flea pills (capstar i think) for what I thought was an excellent price! I will definitely be going back! more

AWFUL EXPERIENCE AT LITSEY! 11/14/2011

My perfectly healthy dog died while getting his teeth cleaned at Litsey Animal Hospital! Dr. Litsey was the biggest jerk, and in my opinion, lied about what happened to my dog. I specifically told the staff at Litsey Animal Hospital if there is ANY concern, do NOT put him under anesthesia. They did so anyway, and my dog died. I believe they acted irresponsibly, and possibly used a cheap anesthesia. I would NEVER recommend taking your pet to Litsey! more

The truth about Litsey Animal Hospital 5/29/2011

First off i would like to say that i am not mad at anyone, I used to work at Litsey and people need to know what really goes on behind the closed doors. Yes the staff is wonderful, but the manager sucks! No body on the staff can stand her! Her name is Robin Ashford. She looks nice but we all know the truth. The first thing i saw that set off my red flag was with the boarding animals. The dogs get a max of 4 walks a day and their walks are not even 5 minutes long. Most dogs that stay there always go to the restroom in their run. People are paying nearly 30 dollars a day for their dog to be outside for 20 minutes a day. Oh and the"play time" is really the kennel staffs break time! The dogs lust lay around while the staff gets a 10 minute break. THEY DONT PLAY! The cats NEVER come out of their cages! The other thing that set off my red flag is pricing. Litsey doesnt get a lot of clients everyday so they charge everyone more because of that reason. And if your reading this looking for a jo more

all for charging you 4/28/2011

The latest today is I ordered from pet meds and was told Litsey wouldn't approve my heartworm pills so I called and was told by Jarissa that they could only do two month increments and I said that's not true. I've bought 6 mo supplies for each dog for years. Was then told sorry I meant we can't do prescriptions for over 2 month periods. It's the same medicine! Was then told too that we needed our yearly exam in two months. It's not due yet! They told me they would price match so what it really came down too was that they wanted my money and to charge me visit fees on top of that. I will never go here again. They are way over priced compared to other Vet Clinics in the DFW area. I'm looking into Ridglea Animal Hospital. We've boarded our dogs there before and they did great and didn't charge as much. more

THE DRUG RIMADYL KILLED MY DOG! 10/19/2010

I believe the drug Rimadyl killed my senior dog named Spotty which was prescribed by Dr. Litsey. According to the Senior Dog project (www.srdogs.com/pages/rimadyl.html), "Rimadyl is potentially life-threatening and may include the following symptoms:\r * loss of appetite\r * change in drinking habits\r * urine accidents in the house\r * vomitting\r * diarrhea\r * lethargy, drowisness, hyperactivity, restlessness\r * sudden onset of side effects which include death."\r \r Shame on you Dr. Litsey for possibly not knowing and/or sharing the risks of this dangerous drug. My dog had many of these side effects including sudden death 11 days after being prescribed this drug. She was my best friend. more

LITSEY'S DOES NOT CARE ABOUT SUFFERING ANIMALS! 4/2/2010

I have been a great customer for over 5 years....My dog Sergeant went for vaccinations....and other medical needs...at that time...times were not so tough..We were not in a recession...well now I have a poor dog...who is suffering with severe allergy problems...and my poor Chocolate Lab has a severe ear infection and I cried on the phone to Litsey's to please help me with a payment plan or help with medicine since at this time I couldn't afford...LITSEY'S REFUSED! I WILL NEVER NEVER GO TO YOUR ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN! YOU HAVE NO SOULS! Pros: Right now...NONE Cons: GOD FORBID I CANNOT PAY UP FRONT! more

Working with Dr. Litsey has been a joy and absolutely wonderful on my part. He is a great doctor and knows how to take care of his clients and staff. I have worked for other doctors and I can tell you that Dr. Litsey is hands down one of the BEST doctors I have had the privilege of working with. Him and his team will do all they can to provide for your pet while in their care. I would recommend Litsey Animal Hospital to anyone seeking medical advice for their pets. more

A Very Good Vet 4/25/2008

Our 2 dogs have been going to Dr. Litsey for 8 years since we moved here. He and the staff are excellent. I also board our dogs there. Of all the vets offices I've dealt with in other states we've lived I have to say he and his staff are the best! I highly recommend Dr. Litsey. Pros: Experienced Vet that cares and a friendly staff. Open 7 days. more

Great Experience! 3/20/2008

Dr. Litsey is absolutely wonderful! Not to mention the kennel staff and the vet technicians are very personable and put their patients first. The prices for treatments are very reasonable and the facility is always clean and taken care of! more

Personalized care and concerned care-givers 1/31/2008

This is a great place to take your ""four-legged babies"" when they need help. The Litsey staff memebrs are very considerate of your needs and the needs of your pets. I have taken my ""found"" kitties there when I adopted them and the family cats too. The staff is always very helpful, patient with my millions of questions and always has an answer no matter how in depth or even how silly the question. They are good with cats, showing that they know their way around how to keep them calm under circumstances that are not the best (such as being dropped off with strangers and subjected to vaccinations and getting ""fixed"") in the cats opinion. I give them a big thumbs up and would reccomend them to anyone in the area looking for a good experience with a veterinary clinic! Pros: Great people on staff! Cons: A bit pricey, but worth it! more

Wonderful Dr. and staff! 10/13/2007

I worked for Dr. Litsey so I know how wonderful and caring he and his staff are to the animals they take care of. Even though I don't work there anymore I still take my dogs there and they have always been well cared for. more

Best Vet I've had in my 47 years of loving animals 4/17/2007

2002 I had to put my dobermen to sleep for age, I called the doc to make an appointment, Ive never done this before and was scared but I new I had no other choise. I pulled up with my ex and my dog and the staff was there waitin for me, they escorted me to a private room and the doc came in and told us to take all the time needed to say goodbye and he will come in. Well it was a sad day but I have never been treated better by anyone. Now he has helped me raise 2 dogs and now 2 cats. He really dont know my cats, I took my first on there just to get shots and to find out what he thought, he was so kind to her. Well lastnight I needed him. My cat lost a littler of 5 kittens, (still born) so I took my 12 yr old daughter to the fort worth animal shelter to adopt a kitten. The kitten came home with fleas, so I ran to the store and got some flea medicine and appilied it to the cats, while my mama cat met the kitty and fell in love and started cleaning her, to make a long story short, 5 in the morning my daughter got me up and said something is wrong with my cat. She was shaking violently and fallind down, I was at Listseys at 7:30 when the doors opened and explained what I did, and the staff rushed her in the back room and said they will call poinson control and wait for the doctor to get to work, less then 1 hour later they call me and said grab your kitten and get here as quick as possible please, my cat was dying and the doctor wanted me to be there....... they had the Harts company on the phone to dianose the problem but she had a seizure, and the doc knew what to do. 12 hours later my cats are okay, and tomorrow I get to bring home my mama cat. the doc has personally called me several times for updates, this place is the greatest. THANKYOU LITSEY ANIMAL HOSPITAL AGAIN. Pros: nothing but thumbs up!!! Cons: 10 years with them no Cons more

Worst Vet EVER! 3/23/2007

My Dog was seriously Ill & Diagnosed by a local Emergency Vet - Litsey not only disagreed w/ the w/ their diagnosis- he disregarded the treatment- and gave my dog the equivalent of an asprin for all of her pain - disregarding the other vets concerns... & my Beautiful Dog DIED the next day. Litsey seemed uncaring through the entire process. Pros: No Pros Cons: Litsey is the worst- way off in my dogs case more

EXCELLENCE! 12/23/2006

Wonderful! Every experience I have ever had with these guys has been great! Everyone is kind hearted and caring. I have always felt welcome. When one of the techs learned that my daughter wanted to be a vet she took her on a tour of the facility! She showed her where they do surgery, where they clean the instruments, where the animals are kept....all the machines and devices that any young vet wanna be would consider ""cool""! Pros: EXCELLENCE! more

Open 7 Days a Week 11/20/2006

Not only is this veterinary office clean, efficient, and friendly, they are open 7 days a week. I don't like to kennel my dog any longer than I have to when I go out of town and by having them open on Sunday, I can pick her up...and save another night of kennel cost too. The other difference with their kenneling is that they offer three different ""packages"". You can choose how much personal interaction and how many walks your dog gets. They of course have a minimum so that every dog gets some, but for those who are spoiled like mine, I feel less guilty knowing that someone will play with her a few times a day while I'm gone. Pros: 7 days a week more

Good boarding facilities and nice staff 11/20/2006

The kennels here are clean and well maintained. The staff is nice and efficient as well as being friendly. We use them for both boarding and Vet services. If you are in the Watauga/Keller area, give them a try. more

Caring doctor 12/29/2005

Dr. Listey treats small animals in the North Fort Worth area. He also offers boarding for dogs and cats. The dog kennels are good sized and clean. Our primary vet clinic is in the country but we use Dr. Litsey for boarding and pop up needs. He has always done an excellent job with our dogs. more
