Community General Osteopathic Hospital

I hardly ever write reviews, but my experience in this hospital emergency room was such a bad I'd like to warn everybody. I took my son in the emergency at about 11pm. He was vomiting and had a pain in the tommy. We have waited in the hall for more than two hours, then spent two more hours inside. Out of 4 hours "emergency" I saw the doctor for a total of 5 minutes. Horrible!! They take your insurance info quite quick though. more

Do not go there the Dr. in the emergency room was incompetent and hostile towards us. more

My dad was recently admitted for an infection. He started in the ER and the nurses there were very pleasant and knowledgeable. But then he was admitted to the 1st floor med/surg. Those nurses were clueless. They didn't have answers to any of our questions, very poor personalities all around! He should have gone to Hershey Med. I would never allow a loved one to set foot in this hospital. There are so many better ones by far, that are close by...choose one of them, but run from Osteopathic! more

About 3 years ago I had minor outpatient surgey to which I had no choice on the hospital. This was my first and last experience with this hospital. The night time nurses were fantastic. They took fantastic care of me. During the day was a different story. I got stick have my surgery and after pushing the button several times no nurse came in. My husband eventually walked out to the nurses station to which he got the response "it's not my job" so he promptly left the bin on their desk for it to stink up their area. 80% of the time I could not get into the restroom and when I pushed the button for a nurse to come help me, no one would come to help me walk down the hall to use the restroom. Thank goodness my husband stayed with me. It's not a great experience when your nurses aren't friendly. more
