Terrific gym. Facilities are great and service beats that of much more expensive places. 2 pools! Steam, Sauna, every class tha tyou can think of, and instructors are top-notch.

lots of stealing in the locker room 6/22/2010

I would get ready in the female lockerroom that was very clean and sanitary. However I'm not sure what happened to my gold hoop earrings one day before my workout, it wruined my wockout actually! And another day I brought my own towel because I had recieved one with brownish orangish stains on it, and that dissapeared as well. along with bathing suit bottoms. \r \r Service reps were horrinble and pressured me to sign up in one day. I told them I'm going to use my 7 day pass and sure enough everyday I went there was bombarded. more

Good Basic Gym 4/19/2009

So, this place looks kind of fancy but it is, after all in Allston. It's pretty much your standard gym with classes and whatnot. The biggest selling point is the fact that they have an indoor pool that doesn't use chlorine (they use some kind of salt filter thing) AND in the summer you also get access to the pool on the roof of the building the gym is in. more

a really great place 12/16/2008

I just moved to the city, and I checked out a bunch of clubs. As far as price and VALUE for the price is concerned, this place can't be beat. The facilities are very clean (actually this week they are re-doing the floors in the group exercise rooms), the trainers really are good and you get a couple free sessions and there is so much different stuff going on. The indoor pool has a hot tub and its a pretty nice area, I've only used it once so far but they offer several aqua classes a day so I will probably pop in one day. There is also an outdoor pool on the roof, but I haven't seen it yet since I joined in Nov! The locker rooms have steam room (REALLY steamy) and saunas. The only thing I don't like is that there are only like 2 bathrooms in the whole place. And the one user below me said something about the cardio room being small, which is kind of true, but so far I've gone just about every day for two months and I've never had to wait for a machine, so its not much of a concern for me. Umm what else can I say? I am really happy with this place :) Pros: indoor/outdoor pools, classes, trainers Cons: parking lot is about 1.5 blocks away, BOO in the cold! more

Not the best place for cardio 9/28/2007

When I join gyms I join for cardio. I don't do much else, I do my weight training at home. The cardio area is tiny, and it's located at such an awkward location. On top of the small space, it has huge windows where all the people walking by can see in and see everyone working out. It was just a little too uncomfortable for my liking. more

Excellent health club! 7/18/2007

Commonwealth Sports club surprised me with the amount of space they had. I walk by there everyday & always thought it was just cardio! The place is huge! They have pilates, yoga, bootcamp, spinning, & just about any other class you want to take! They also have two pools, one indoor & one outdoor (great in the summer)! Their personal trainers are awesome & they're actually around to help you if you need it! more

Great club 7/15/2007

This is a great health club. It used to be the wellbridge athletic club before. Looking from the outside you have no idea what tis place has to offer, it looks like just cardio. There is so much more here. I recently signed up because I was tired of the lack of personal service at my old club. This place takes very good care of you from the second you walk in. The trainers are great, they are wiling to answer any questions and have no problem showing you what to do. They also have a pool which is huge. Pros: pool, trainers more
