Fiddler's Green tries very hard to be THE venue in Denver. It can hold alot of people and usually packs 'em in. However, 4 out of the 5 concerts that I dared to attend were over...

security team does the least possible to help 7/2/2008

i was at a stevie wonder show and left my coat inside. i realized just after walking out the exit. to make a long and annoying story short they had no clue as to what to do except there was no way that i was getting back in to get it. i was directed to the other side of the venue, quite a walk, where they told me to go back to the original side. when i informed them that i had just been there they were annoyed a said there was nothing they could do. i asked if he would use his walkie talkie to find where i could go to straighten this out and he refused. they told me that my only option was to call lost and found the next day, i did and it wasn't there. thanks for having me walk around for an hour to treat me like an annoyance after paying good money for a ticket and buying eight dollar beers. more

Security Unjust/Poor at Best 9/5/2007

Was in isle at yesterdays Linkin Park venue and got asked to move to my seat. As I went to find my row and seat I looked down towards the main Isle and security was watching me like a hawk. There were 50 other people in the Isle but security went on to wave me towards them after I had found my row. I complied to see what they wanted and they said that they wanted me to come with them or they would make me come with them. I was caught off guard as to what was happening as I followed security to a side entrance where there was a group of security holding clip boards all sitting down doing nothing. There was one peace officer in this whole group. The security guard went as far as saying that he asked me to go to my seat four times. As I was finding out that I was getting kicked out I pleaded that I had not been anything but compliant as well as respectful. But to no attest I was not allowed to go back to my seat and was thrown out of the venue. There are a number of things that happened that worry me about treatment of observers at this venue but the main two are as follows. First, if there is no belligerence from the observer and the observer is compliant with demands how does that constitute ejections from such a venue? Second, how the hell did I get back into the concert after I was thrown out when the security policy for anyone leaving on their own terms is no re-entry? The answer to the first question is really easy to anwser since there was no justification to the security measures taken. The security obviously had some type of inferiority complex with not being able to control the other 50 people that were in the isle. I incidentally got singled out because of my stature, non-confrontational approach, compliancy, and was made an example. The second one is not so easy to answer. Even if I was trespassing what security measures are in place to make sure a combatant psycho path doesn't come back into a venue and hurt people? \r \r Cons: Service, Security, Isle Lighting more

worst venue ever 8/31/2006

Worst venue ever. Sound is horrible, I can talk in a normal voice while music is playing and still hear the ohter person fine. What more can you say, you go to shows to hear the music, and the sound was incredibly low. Show ended too early, traffic horrible leaving the venue, huge lines to get into, ridiculous beer prices, ridiculous T shirt prices ($40 and $55 for a t shirt), extremely slow workers at the beer line. Never, ever going there again, everybody I know will never go there either more

SOUND IS REALLY TERRIBLE AND THE DRINK PRICES ARE WAY OUT OF CONTROL!!! The staff needs a little help in kindness. Pros: Location Cons: Drink prices, Sound quality, Length of shows more

3 7/31/2002

I have seen three shows here over the past two years and at each one I was 15th row or better for a good view. The sound is the worst of any venue I have ever seen a show at. I have been to atleast 30 between here in the Colorado and New England areas and Fiddlers ranks dead last. Cons: Horrible sound more

Red vs. Green 7/31/2002

Fiddler's Green tries very hard to be THE venue in Denver. It can hold alot of people and usually packs 'em in. However, 4 out of the 5 concerts that I dared to attend were overwhelmingly crowded to the extent that leaving my seat was challenging and almost frightening. My experience on The Green was chaotic at best and if you actually came to listen to the concert - good luck. Fiddler's Green serves it's purpose overall but if I could have it my way- all concerts would be held at the Red instead of the Green. Pros: venue variety, outdoors, convenient locale Cons: crowded, acoustics on green, chaotic atmosphere more

Not better than Red Rocks 7/31/2002

You cannot beat the ambiance of a warm night at Red Rocks. Fiddler's Green, however, does have some advantages like real seats. Traffic out of Fiddler's Green is chaotic at best, hard to believe they can't have someone directing traffic, particularly on to Arapahoe. Looking forward to going back for the Who in Sept. Rock on. Pros: seats, consessions, accessability Cons: parking, traffic more

Fiddler's Compound 7/30/2002

My three experiences at Fiddler's Green were all marred by the same problems. Lousy sound and too many brain police. You can't even smoke a joint without being harassed. This would never happen at Red Rocks. more
