I thought my my previous beautician was worth every penny I spent on him, 20 years experience and all that nonsense. Boy was I wrong. I walked into this salon with over-processed, out-of-control, frayed hair! Jade & Diane spent 3 hours fixing the fiasco that was my hair. Jade chose a stunning color as close to my natural shade as you could get! Very complimentary! She chose according to my skin tone & eyes. They did a strand test! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!! I""m utterly shocked!! The color came out gorgeous, natural & soft! Diane applied my color & is very gentle (that's always a plus). Next came my cut. Jade explained every step BEFORE she cut. Gorgeous framing, unbelievable body & looks amazing. Diane blew out my hair, again, very gentle. These women have magic hands & an unbelievable eye for beauty! Tthe kicker is they are reasonably priced. I am so pleased! I never expected to walk out as thrilled as I am! Ladies, Don't pass up the opportunity to look your best! Best eyebrown shaping! i got my eyebrows done by joyce. she was super friendly and took her time my eyebrowns have never looked so good.it was 18$ for first time visit and very very worth.(she used tweezers and scissors and a wax from satin smooth is import from ITALY.i don't think they do a traditional style waxing)she shaped my eyebrows and definitely listed to what i had to say.i have never been so happy with they way they turned out! i have been to go many salon trying to find a place that does a great jobs with eyebrows. more

I never write reviews but I had to for this fabulous find! Needed someone to fix my horrible haircut desperately and I found Jade! It was my first time at this salon but she instantly made me feel at ease with her sweet nature and her hair cutting skills were out of this world. She has definately got a fan! more

amazing facial by JOYCE.my skin has been transformed since i started seeing JOYCE a few month ago....i've gone from dry and uneven skin tone to hydrated and younger looking!!! i love this place.....maybe not the best place if you're looking for 100% privacy but i never feel crowded or rushed by anyone and i frankly care more about leaving with a very clean face than anything else. more

I walked into Color Arts with an inch of salt and pepper roots on my head, two different shades of red, and in desperate need of a haircut. The staff at Color Arts, working within my budget, provided professional color consultation, and gave me more a more interesting, softer shade of red with highlights that complemented my coloring. Jade looked at the shape of my face a recommended a flattering haircut. She showed me three different ways to style my hair and gave me tips on blow-drying. I am so pleased with the results, and received lots of compliments on my new look. I will definitely be back. more

Ok....so I am not prone to writing reviews but feel compelled to share my experience. I walked out of this salon feeling like a million bucks and a few weeks later I am still absolutely loving it. I have long hair and it was pretty damaged when I walked in and I do not know how Jade did it but she highlighted it and created a style that was still long and healthier then it has been in a long long time. I was told by another hairdresser somewhere else that when you have long hair you sacrifice having a style but that was completely proven wrong by Jade and her 'special' techinique and touch with the scissors. Her attentive consult beforehand took my color from drab to wonderful. Thank you Jade and her friendly staff! I just hope you keep your prices reasonable as the word gets out. more

I'm one of those people that is really nervous and doesn't trust anyone to cut my hair. So I've been searching like crazy for the past month for the right salon with good reviews along with the right price. After finally settling on Color Arts I've never been happier with a haircut experience. I walked in and was instantly welcomed by bright and happy people. I sat down for my consultation with Jade who was amazing. She talked with me in detail about what she thought would work for my face and assured me I had nothing to worry about. I then had my hair washed and had my hair cut with shorter layers towards to back to give it body. Jade?s magic made my hair absolutely beautiful!! She's a master and I couldn't ask for anything more. more

Jade is outstanding, I walked in with overdyed hair, two colors with ash color ends with a desperate concern. I walked out with a wonderful chocolate brown hair, and care advicefor my hair and a smile. It's been three weeks since my first time viist. \r This is the best my hair has ever looked. When i first came to the salon i was unsure and nervous from past bad experiences. I left a few hours later feeling the best i had ever felt. My thin limp hair looked full and gorgeous, the color, PERFECT! and my experience was amazing. Jade has been cutting and highlighting my hair for over 8 years. Her unique ability in using highlights and low lights gives my hair body and depth as well as a glorious luster. The products she uses are not harmful to your hair and help maintain its balance. I have gone from straight hair to a perm and I could only perm it along with my highlights due to the fact that the highlights Jade adds to my hair are ""added"" - not bleached or stripped where it would damage my hair. Jade is consciencious about keeping your hair healthy and beautiful and you happy. The new salon is beautiful and her staff is excellent, especially Diane! Color Arts Salon and Spa just added a new addition to their family with Erik Minauro. I have been going to Erik for the past 4 years for all my up-do's, blow-outs, and styles.He has even done personal favors for me by doing the whole bridal party for my sisters wedding and as expected the whole bridal party was overjoyed with his work. He has unique creativity and always amazes me with a fresh new look. Color Arts Salon and Spa is now a new second home to me and delivers great service. Best Hair Saloon in Bkly.\r \r I've been to all the best in Bklyn. & this place tops them all. My hair never looked and felt so good. The color and the cut. BEAUTIFUL. People actually stop me all the time and ask ""who cuts your hair?"". Went to Color Arts today for the first time and I'm so glad I did. Jade is the best stylist that I have seen in over 10 years.I have extremely long hair and I don't trust just anyone to cut it. Jade took her time,explained everything she wanted to do and is a TRUE professional.Very comfortable,clean and serene salon. I ended up cutting 8 inches off the back (it really needed it) and I totally love the way it looks. She gives you your own personalized haircut that complements your facial features. Finally found a stylist I can call my own.The staff is very courteous and efficient. The scalp massage is soooo relaxing I was ready to go to sleep. I love this place and Jade is great. Give this place a try. You won't regret it. more

Color Arts is a beautiful, clean, newly constructed salon with a Spa-like ambience-- soothing music (finally, a place where your senses are not assaulted!) and a recessed ceiling with blue light. Jade, a London-trained stylist and colorist, is the owner. I have followed Jade to whatever salon she was working at for the past 15 years-- she is THAT good! I'm so glad she has her own place now. \r \r She is an artist who will tell you the truth (straightforward, but kind!) about what kind of cut AND color best suits you. The first time I went to her, she told me I had 3 different hairuts on my head, but that she would help bring it back. It took a year, but it was worth it. She is precise and KNOWS hair types and what works best with each. For years I'd gotten my color done at another salon. Jade noticed that it was too harsh and made suggestions to me to improve it. She now does my color and customizes two of them-- a darker one for my roots and a lighter one all around to give the most natural look. Her prices are reasonable too. \r \r I always love watching someone new come in and be transformed. I told Jade that she should have before and after pictures posted because the styling changes are that dramatic. more

I moved to Brooklyn a few months back from TX...having left behind my longterm relationship with my stylist. I shopped around for someone to care for my long blonde mane but I was never satisified. Until I came to CitySearch and read the great things about Jade and her salon.\r \r I called the next morning and booked an appt. Since I was not happy with anyone I had seen thus far, I ended up running to RiteAid and buying a box of bleach blonde to do my hair myself. I ended up with rainbow colored reds and oranges...if I could post a photo, I would show you.\r \r I showed up on time and Jade sat down with me before doing anything to give me a consultation. I was very impressed by the ambiance of her salon. Very clean, upscale, and very customer friendly. She spent 5 hours on my hair, literally using rulers and assistants to fix my stuff.\r \r All the while, she had other customers coming in that she would take care of while I was being washed, dried, or whatever. All her customers just seem to love her to pieces!\r \r Finally, the color was perfect.\r \r She taught me how to take care of my hair, how to style it, and even wrote notes so she could replicate it next time she's in.\r \r I was so impressed! She even fed me while I was there because I was there so long!\r \r I love her, I'll never go anywhere else, and I can't believe she was so open and friendly. Jade is trained in Europe so she cuts hair differently and customizable to your facial structure. Its amazing to watch her work.\r \r You leave feeling like a celebrity.\r \r I highly recommend her!
