Good: They used to be a good doctors office with great staff, but they have went downhill fast. I was warned not to go to College Park Family Care by my co-worker and now I understand why. They made me take a $1,700 drug test after I passed one drug test that my medical insurance paid for. There was no purpose for making me take the expensive drug test. I could've said no, but my dr said he wouldn't prescribe my meds. I have an HMO, so I can't just go to another dr and ask for my meds.. Bad: When I call my dr and leave a message, they take days to call me back sometimes (even when I call in the am on a Tues). Lanita, my doctors triage nurse, is horrible. My dr, who works at Mulen and 127th St in Olathe, KS, doesn't listen to his patients and doesn't seem to want them to get better, he talks bad about other drs and he claims "he's smarter than most dr's". He only works with other dr's with whom he refers his patients to. For awhile, he wouldn't acknowledge my diagnosis bc he didn't diagnose me.. Improvements: More compassion for their patients from the staff and nurses. Rachel is the ONLY good nurse that works there along with his MA. I would like for them to release ALL the patient chart info to the patients and stop withholding the ESR charts/archive charts (hard charts). They claim it's to protect the patients, but I wonder what's in the patient hard charts. Even the staff can't view their ESR charts! I would like the dr to abide by the doctors oath they pledged "first, do no harm".. Other: They don't abide by HIPPA laws. They think they're above the law and are very shady. They talk negatively about other family members to me and I'm not involved in their care at all. They asked me unusual info about where each of my family members live and every dr I've ever seen, if any of my family members are dr's, what my spouse does for a living. etc. Do they blacklist? I'm almost certain they do after those questions and the way I've been treated since I got on Medicare..
