Lovely old castle for weddings, receptions, parties 3/25/2006

Our daughter was married here and it was the most perfect setting ever! The staff was helpful and friendly and thorough and all the arrangements went smoothly. They have a resource room with files full of brochures for caterers, hair stylists, photographers (plus many sample albums). There are many open houses scheduled every month and often a caterer or two will be set up with delicious samples. The setting is gorgeous yet comfortable and homey. Guests can wander from room to room admiring the architectural details and the views. Very quiet, too. more

A Castle in the Country 2/15/2006

The Cloisters Castle in Lutherville, MD is an absolutely beautiful estate just outside of Baltimore. I last visited for a wedding and reception, and I think it was perhaps the most intimate and beautiful venue I've ever seen. There is an outdoor sunken amphitheater for weddings and ceremonies, and the entirety of the castle for event rental. The grounds are just beautiful, and the staff was very friendly. Venue rental ranges from about $1000-$4500, depending on function, day, and hours needed. If you're in the market for a wedding or event site, this is the perfect place for you! more
