***** 5 Stars. I called Clickaway to look at my slow home network. Michael showed up with a new router. Mine was faulty as I suspected. He replaced it quickly and when testing it on my daughter's laptop, found that her hard drive was nearly full - not great when she's just about to leave for college. Said he would take it to the shop to swap out the hard drive for a bigger one. I thought I'd ask about all the other annoying gadgets that don't work, fax machine and digital camera's. He took those to the shop too. Few days later, laptop, fax, cameras all returned in great working order. One stop shopping! more

These guys are great! Had a wonderful first time experience with this local Santa Cruz Company. The best Customer Service around. I worked with Taylor (on the phone & the check in process) and James (technician who worked on my computer), who explained in detail and very kindly what he saw in the diagnostic test. Both were super friendly and helpful. After upgrading the speed and a minor tune up---My computer is flying on the Internet. Great service and reasonable cost. I would definitely recommend them and go back to ClickAway again when needed. Thanks again! more

My macbook all of a sudden wouldn't boot up and i got an awful grey screen instead of a lovely working computer. Hardware problem! I took it in and they got me in right away, they explained it may be bad and it may be an easy fix, but they'd help me along the way and it was going to be free if it since it was a hardware problem and I had applecare luckily. Even better, it was the easy fix! I picked my computer up same-day! I recommend Clickaway for anyone with an apple computer with applecare or without who doesn't want to drive to the nearest genius bar.?Thanks for being professional, and most of all explaining to me everything since I don't know anything about computer hardware. ??I highly recommend, being a student they were lifesavers for me! :)?Also, location is nice. It's right across from the petsmart/ ross complex. more

Want someone who can handle all your computer and cell phone issues? Go here. They are licensed, bonded and insured so I was confident in giving them my laptop. Then, I broke my cell phone screen twice, and they fixed it too while I waited. more

Poor Communication, not on the ball 9/15/2007

I dealt with Stratos for my ISP and networking issues for about a year or so. Yorgas the owner could not even get my AOL problems taken care of. His techs were equally ignorant. Whenever i called in the mornings, nobody ever answered because the shop was never open on time. He was really bad at returning calls. I tend to agree with the other reviewer that this business may not be on the horizon very long. Being flaky and undependable can be of no help to anyone. That is quiet a problem we have here in this area. We don't need anybody else to be added to that list to flakes. On top of all of this yorgas insisted on being payed the top dollar amount for work that never really got done. Later on we had to get our problems fixed by spending a hellish amount of time on tech support. Thats something Stratos wanted to be payed for but could not provide the skills to get the job done. Being a bunch of dishonest and tardy flakes may not be a problem with some people, but it is a definite problem as far as our business is concerned. Needless to say we are not with stratos anymore. For the people who still are with him, i wish them luck. Unless stratos mends its ways it will end up losing a lot more customers. more

Didn't do it for me 8/4/2007

I wish i could say something positve about my experience about stratos but that's gonna be really hard. while the staff and the owner were polite and all that, the job never really got done. I had to call several times and issue several reminders before someone even looked at my computer. Getting them to give me a status update was even more difficult. My data was never recovered even though i was promised all that. Then i still had to pay for 2 hours of labor and for a new hard drive which i found to be way overpriced. My laptop still does not work well after all the repairs they did to it. The only choice that i was given was that i would be charged another hour of labor for any further diagnostics. So as such i chose to stay away. I for one would not reccomend this business to anyone. I went to User friendly computing after that and they got the job done for me at a very reasonable price and in a very fitting timeframe. more

I've worked in the computer industry in this area for the past 16 years and Stratos Systems, and specifically the owner Yorgos Hadzis, has always been there for me and my clients. He delivers quality products at very competitive pricing and always stands behind his work. Not only am I a long-term customer, but I've sent countless clients to Stratos Systems over the years, from large companies and government agencies to individuals with home computers, and not one of them has ever had a problem or complaint about the products or service they received. I always send my most difficult challenges to Stratos and they've consistently found a solid solutions for minimal costs. I've witness Yorgos having to deal with difficult people on several occasions that know absolutely nothing about computers or software and what it takes to put together a stable and dependable system and he has always demonstrated extreme patience in trying to help them understand any issues involved and explain what their options are. He's a very straight-shooter who will always tell you the plain truth and not just tell you something you want to hear just to make a sale. The thing that really makes Stratos Systems stand out is that they find out what your needs are and build a custom, affordable solution that will do everything you need it to do without selling you anything you don't need. In a nutshell, if you want top-of-the-line, first-class computer systems or components for reasonable prices along with excellent support and someone that will always stand behind their work, go to Stratos Systems in Santa Cruz. The only reason why some believe their prices are higher than other places is because they are comparing apples and oranges, and Stratos Systems won't skimp by selling you low-quality parts that are likely to fail and require additional costs and downtime down the road. Wonderful computer sales and service company 7/10/2007

We have used Stratos for many years. They have provided consistently outstanding service and have always been available in an emergency. Although Stratos may not be the cheapest provider in Santa Cruz, in the long run the service and value provided mean that the product received is of the highest quality and has saved me substantial amounts over the years. I cannot imagine my business running efficiently without the value provided by Stratos and particularly by the owner, Yorgos. In addition to provding efficent and invaluable service, I have found Yorgos and his team to be honest and acting to the highest ethical standards. Have been using Stratos for over 10 years and they once again saved us from a very difficult situation. Kudos to Yorgo and Jasson for retrieving lost data that was instremental to our business operation. Avoid at all costs 5/19/2007

The owner Yorgos is a total scammer. He is a smooth talker, but the product he sold was way overpriced. His labor costs were also abnormally high. His communication skills are non existent. It was pretty evident that his own knowledge of computers was abysmal. His servive techs were nowhere to be found. All in all a really bad experience. This computer shop is best left alone. more
