Out and about while doing business in the Atlanta area, I discovered this wonderful restaurant of cajun fare and really outstanding breakfasts. Poboys are like what you get in New Orleans and the gumbo is really down home if you are talking my native Louisiana. This restaurant has it all down including biscuits and gravy for breakfast, like mama used to make! Highly recommend that you stop in and enjoy Claude's Off the Bayou, a place outfitted with memorabilia of a better place, down in South Louisiana where the good times always roll more

BEWARE: Previous reviews were posted when it was still CLAUDE'S BBQ, not this Claude's Off the Bayou place!! If you were looking for Claude's BBQ, this is NOT IT! Claude's was bought out and it's NOT the same food or quality! If I could give this place NO STARS, I would. Everything is frozen and/or prepackaged. The customer no-service is piss poor! When it was Claude's, I was always greeted with a hearty ""Good Morning"" and ""How are you today?"" Now, they act like you're bothering them. Since I hadn't been to Claude's BBQ in a while, I was unaware of the change of hands. When they gave me my food, I sent it back and demanded my money back! It was a nasty frozen biscuit much like a Pilsbury Grands...I know a frozen biscuit when I see it! The Country Fried steak that Claude's BBQ made by hand and fried fresh is no more! Instead you get a preformed frozen patty substance!! HORRIBLE!! Some people are like cattle. They'll continue to eat there b/c they had loyalty to Claude's BBQ. The new owners need to get a clue! I have begun to spread the word on Facebook as well as word of mouth, maybe they will get the CLUE! We don't want frozen pre-packaged CRAP! I'd go to Kelly's or McD's if I did! more

Biscuits are my thing, so understand when I write that Claude's is the best place in all of Atlanta for biscuits, I KNOW what I am talking (writing) about!! They are made from scratch every morning, and they are HUGE. I'm serious: Monster good and monster big. Rooooaaaaarrrrr. Pros: The biggest and best. Cons: I wish I could eat more. more

Okay, this place is famous for breakfast, but their barbecue is out-of-this-world. This is the type of locally owned place you'd expect for great BBQ. I had seen it off the highway but had not made it in . . . until last week. I'll be there again THIS week. It really is the best barbecue in Walton County (and Gwinnett too).
