I don't know how they are still in business. They treat their customers rudely. Poor poor customer service. It doesn't matter if you have an appointment because if the person before you was late for their appointment they will put them in the chair and make you wait 45 minutes. I went back to get my hair fixed due to a bad dye job it was supposed to be gratis and when I went to leave they charged me $200. When I calmly expressed my dissatisfaction they didn't care and black balled me from their business which is fine by me. I found a great salon with great hair stylist and better prices by half and they treat their customers with courtesy and respect. That salon is the flying scissors in clermont, fl. They are not snobby and rude like they the owners and stylist at city looks. I would not recommend city looks to anyone unless you have an enemy you want to get even with ( just a little humor to get my point across). more

I just want to thank Sue and Connie for doing such a great job at the salon. Sue has cut and highlighted my hair for years and I just love her cuts. She always makes me feel like a new person everytime she does my hair. As for Connie she always makes you feel so welcome and I appreciate that too. You couldn't find a nicer place. Thank you for all the great work you both do. more

So, like many women and men on here, our hair is one of the things that define our personality or the way people describe us. If we have a bad haircut or bad hair day, we wear a hat or try to hide under something. What I'm about to tell you is my experience with City Looks Salon in Clermont. I will not get on here an bash them, but rather let you all draw your own conclusion and what you would do in the same situation. My main reason for posting anything is how I was treated afterwards. I went to my hairdresser with a picture of what I wanted. She told me she could do it. I spent $106 dollars for her to basically put a color over an outgrown ombre all for it to evaporate into my hair. I then spent another $70 bucks for her to ""fix"" it. She lighted the ombre and put pinkish-red over it to where I looked like the Aurora shooter. I went back one more time and she put brown over it to take away the ""PINK"". It did, but damaged my hair so badly that you couldn't tell I got it cut a week prior. I had to cut 3 inches off my hair to fix it, then dyed it myself. I called the ""manager"" of the salon to tell her about what happened and she did not want to see my hair or pictures and said she had to talk to the ""owner"" her sister (BTW - her parents own the place) about getting a refund. Finally they said they would only give me back $69 bucks and hung up on me. I tried to call and talk to them and they refused to call me back. So, I went there and they called the police and called me crazy. THey lied to the police and said I was harassing them 5 times a day. They also made me sign a release and have it notarized before they would refund anything. My hairdresser used to be awesome then she got lazy, unfortunately at my expense. Had it ended with her lack of skill, this post wouldn't be here. But, I am a stickler for customer service, and I figure they will hang themselves treating people this way, but I wanted to share this so others won'yt make the same mistake. more

Left the salon with atrocious ""hot roots,"" after paying a FORTUNE for the experience. As I was paying, the gal assured me that it was just the salon's ""weird lighting,"" so imagine my horror when I arrived home. I had ZERO time to come back to the salon since I have to work/raise my family...as such, it was Sally's Beauty Supply next door that came to my rescue with a suggestion of Ion Demi Color. Fixed my hair, but I was out a small fortune for the WORST hair experience ever. Ever. That was in October, and I am still reeling... more

Love it 6/27/2011

I have been going to City Looks since I moved to Clermont. I love the spa atmosphere, and the smell of Aveda in the air! Recently I lost my stylist to a move... I was worried sick about how I would find another. Connie at City Looks swore on HER HAIR that Kelly, a stylist for years but new with City Looks, would be a good match for me. Kelly is a WHIZ. Not only that, but getting my hair done feels like an afternoon with one of my best girlfriends! I brought my sister and my daughter to see Kelly - my sister was actually stopped in the parking lot and aksed who her stylist was! I scheduled my mom for an appointment Wednesday! I'll be bringing my son in too. Thanks Connie for referring me to Kelly!!! more

Awesome hair stylist! 11/9/2010

Justine - all I have to say!!!\r I am so incredibly pleased with my haircut, color and high-lights every time. I have gone to several different hair salons and I’ve had no luck finding an individual who would cut/color the way I want, or even close for that matter. I was so impressed with the way Justine had cut my friends hair (the color and highlights are beautiful too) that I made the appointment two days later. After a visit to Justine for my hair, I am excited to wake up, shower, and I look forward to the way I will be styling my hair that day. I have gotten so many complements on my hair style & color, everyone loves the look on me and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results! Justine took her time to help me find the perfect colors (I’m extremely picky) and I cannot thank her enough for her fabulous sense of style, she’s got an awesome TALENT for hair styles, colors and cuts!!! I also love the City looks solon, I’ve always gone to the one near the Citrus Tower in Clermont. I love their products, it’s very clean, the music is good and you get great value for your money too!\r I’ve found my permanent hair dresser, believe me I travel the miles to come see her and I would go a lot further if I had to. I am so excited and relieved that I finally found someone that I trust with my hair (we all know that feeling).\r Thank you Justine, keep up the amazing work!!!\r more

Amazing quality 9/10/2010

City looks salon is amazing. The service was professional, courtious, and personal. My stylist (sue) listened to what I wanted and took a personal interest in my needs. My color and highlights were perfect and the cut is effortless. I've never had my hair cut so well. I would recommend city looks salon to everyone!!! more

WARNING - Poorly trained Stylists & Management 9/4/2009

Beware…. I went in for a touchup of my blond roots/blond highlights and ended up with a dark putty grey-brown base with white highlights, sprinkled with orange splotches. The stylist didn’t follow my request to avoid fine “micro” highlights, so it all blended together to appear all grey and dull. I had spent 30 mins showing a picture and a hair color sample to thoroughly discuss results beforehand. Color choice was wrong, color was left on too long, and colors were mixed from multiple poor techniques. Had to have it redone at another salon who provided intense damage repair. It will take another 2 appts before it can hopefully all be corrected because of the propensity for severe damage. Mgmt refused to do anything to make amends for this costly damage both in time and money – wouldn’t even absorb the charges! (I should have listened to the clue early in my appt when the City Looks stylist told me, “There were salon difficulties because the mgr/owner isn’t a stylist by trade, therefore doesn’t know technique.”) Geeze....overall a very bad experience. Cons: Lack of technical knowlege by staff & mgmt will not help more

This place has change so much!!!! 1/8/2009

I dont know whats wrong.... but since few months ago the salon is not the same, I dont know if is the managment, the economy or that they always having new people in. They listen to your wants/needs 9/26/2006

I have been to City Looks Salon on SR 50 in Clermont Florida several times. I have ALWAYS been happy with what they have done, from just a haircut to full color and highlights. Great atmosphere. Love Tina M! Pros: Great stylists, great atmosphere Cons: Book ahead of time more

Finally! 12/13/2005

After having moved to this area a year and a half ago and several salons later, I have finally found a salon that knows how to treat a client. Prices are what you would expect to pay for the type of service you are given and the Hair Professional takes time to really listen to your request and work with you. They are very accomondating and considerate of your time. Pros: Professional. , Very knowledgable. Cons: Very busy!, Book early. more

farm raised hairdressers!!!!! 10/27/2005

If you want to look like you fell of the turnip truck go here to get your hair done. When you walk in the door you are greated by a girl with pink, white and black hair, that should have been my first clue. They are rude and their talent is seriously lacking. Clearly a wannabe be salon posing with Aveda Products to get you in the door. Needless to say they ruined my hair. I had Highlights and A blowout. Neither were what I wanted.....I'd stay clear of this place. Pros: aveda products Cons: no manners more
