Terrible 12/30/2011

I took lessons here when I was younger and it was absolutely terrible. Crowded space, and I used a 3/4 sized guitar at the time. They don't have the greatest 'teachers' either. Luckily, my teacher was a nice guy, but the owner, Randy, is not so much. He is a real 'd-bag' to put it into better terms. The place is nice and they have SOME nice instruments, but if you want to be talked at like you're an idiot worth nothing at all. This is the place to go. Randy knows what he is talking about, but he knows nothing on how to treat people with respect and admiration. I do not recommend this place at all! more

Fantastic store, great teachers 5/10/2011

As an adult who decided to take up guitar later in life, I was initially very nervous and self-conscious. Randy at Cindy's guitar put me very much at ease and helped me select a starter guitar package that was very economical. When it came time to start lessons, choosing CIndy's guitar just made sense. Their lessons are very affordable, and they did a great job of matching me up with a guitar teacher who fit my musical interests. My instructor, Beau, has been fantastic, skillfully able to address whatever quirky musical direction I'm interested in -- whether it's been learning fingerstyle version of Blackbird by the Beatles, teaching classical guitar music, and even in-depth exploration of music theory and composing! My wife and I were so impressed by Cindy's Guitar Plus that we bought instruments for our kids--and now they're taking lessons too! Cindy & Randy are fantastic, and Beau is a treasure to this learner. I highly recommend Cindy's Guitar Plus to anyone. more

My favorite guitar shop 5/9/2011

I picked up the guitar two years ago and could play a few chords. I found Cindy's Guitar Plus and signed up for lessons. The price was so good, I figured that I could try it out and not lose too much money if it didn't work out. What I found was a great music shop with an experienced teacher who could teach me styles ranging from classical to jazz to blues to rock. With my teacher's guidance, I became more schooled in music theory and composition, and have become a better guitar player. Since I started lessons, everyone who hears me play tells me how much I've improved. The teachers at Cindy's Guitar will give you results, and Randy can set up any instrument for you and give you advice based on years of playing, repairing, buying, and selling. I have never once been disappointed with any aspect of the shop. I recommend it to anyone even vaguely interested in music! more

Great Place... 4/27/2011

My 11 year old has been taking lessons here for almost 2 years. Has a great teacher that keeps him interested. You won't find more reasonable pricing for lessons or repair anywhere else in the burgh. more

Music Lessons for every age, taste 4/14/2011

My sons, ages 8 and 12, have taken Guitar and Drum lessons at Cindy's for 2 and 3 years. We have been impressed with the friendliness, talent and professionalism of their teachers. Randy's knowledge of guitars and other stringed instruments and his ability to fix any instrument that can be fixed (as well as his honesty and willingness to tell you when something can not be fixed rather that charging you for a disappointing result )has also impressed me. I have trusted him with one of my most valuable possessions- a Dulcimer my deceased father made for me 20 years ago and he has made it sing again! more

I have been taking lessons at Cindy's Guitar Plus for about 7 years. Randy knows just about everything and will always offer help and advice. The teachers are great. They are knowledgeable in many different musical styles and will work with you at your pace. I bought my first acoustic guitar there for a great price and haven't put it down since. This is a quality music store. more

I have been taking lessons at Cindy's Guitar Plus for two years now and I am thoroughly pleased with the knowledge and the expertise of the teachers. The owners are also great people who work with me and my schedule. They also have a variety of instruments at low prices. You can tell that everyone at Cindy's is passionate about making music lessons affordable and exciting. You pick the song-they will show you how to play. I can't say enough good things about Cindy's. I strongly encourage you to check them out. You won't be disappointed. more

I have been taking lessons at Cindy's Guitar Plus for over 7 years now. I play guitar and drums and with the knowledge i learned at Cindy's, i can further my love for music. The teachers are great, the lessons are cheap, and the owners are wonderful people. You can reschedule when you need and they are always flexible. They also have a wonderful selection of instruments at very low prices!! If you want to take lessons or even just buy an instrument for yourself, CINDY'S GUITAR PLUS IS THE PLACE TO GO!!! more

Great Place To Learn Music 4/4/2011

My son has been going there for years now and never once has he complained about going to his lessons. He learned to play guitar and now he wants to learn drum to join the Band at school. Randy and Cindy are super people to deal with. if you need to reschedule because of an event that comes up, they always come through. This is the place to go, they have all! more

Best place to buy a guitar 4/4/2011

Ive been going to Cindy's guitar since i was 11 and i still go there for lessons. I cant think of anything ad about tem because they dont treat you as a client, they treat you as a friend. Randy does a heck of a job more

Excellent Value for Guitar Lessons 4/3/2011

My son has been taking lessons here since December 2010 and has already made improvements with his technique and has learned several songs. He really enjoys working with his teacher, Matt, and looks forward to going to lessons every week. The weekly lessons are one half hour of a private lesson. From what I have heard, the price is very reasonable. The teachers allow the students to learn the song they like which helps keep their interest. more

Unbelievable 3/31/2011

A great program. My daughter has been taking lessons for about a year and she is still eager to go every week. she is learning at a good pace for her. Cindy and Randy and the instructores are all wonderful. their prices are low enough that i afford for her to keep going as long as she wants to keep learning. I couldn't be happier!! more

Great Lessons 3/30/2011

I am a student at Cindy's Guitar and I enjoy the whole atmosphere of the building. I have been going there for 3 years and I have have been with every teacher for a lesson and enjoyed every minute of it. I also enjoy taking the lessons and talking to the store owner, Randy, he is a very nice individual and will help you with whatever you need around the store. I reccomend this store to anyone who is young or old interested in playing guitar or drums. They also have many products for sale and are always getting new items. So stop by Cindy's Guitar. more

Guitar lessons 3/30/2011

We didn't know anyone else who went to Cindy's Guitar Plus when we first started going there so we didn't know what to expect. We bought our youngest daughter the guitar package which included a beginner guitar and lessons. It was one of the best investments we made. She loved the guitar and couldn't wait each week to take her lessons. She has had the same instructor since she started taking them four years ago and we have been very impressed with the quality of teachers and their interest in helping their students to love and appreciate music as much as they do! The cost for lessons is very reasonable and if you can not make it on your particular lesson day/time, you can switch to another opening that week. It takes us over half an hour to get there, but we wouldn't go anywhere else! We are very happy that we ended up there, because Cindy's Guitar Plus is the best! more
