Christy has been cutting my hair for 3 years now.. she is amazing! Each haircut is better than the last! I have thick, naturally wavy hair, which can be difficult to cut. But not for Christy. I met Christy several years ago and have always had the best cut/color from her. My hair always looks rich & lustrous. Let's just say that most of the staff at my old job started going to Christy. Basically, my hair does the marketing for her. Random people come up to me & ask ""Where do you get your hair done?"" I moved to San Diego a year and a half ago and have had many mishaps with other stylists. So what does a girl do, continue to drive 2+ hours every 3 months to see Christy. No one is quite the same as her. You will not be disappointed.....the time goes by quickly b/c she is super duper sweet. Moral of the story ** Will follow for best hairstylist** more

There was a Seinfeld episode when jerry realized that his barber who he d been loyal to for years was just not cutting his hair right.......well like jerry i had this woman who had been cutting my hair for 7 years and like most guys as long as looks pretty good we're cool with it...well she was out of town when i needed a cut and a girl I knew recommended Christy...... its been almost a year since i ve seen the old stylist and i have not looked back....not only is Christy less expensive then my previous stylist but honestly .......I have gotten more compliments on my hair then at any time in my life.....I would recommend Christy to anyone. Let's see, well, about 4 years ago my wife and I were looking for a hair stylist in the Pasadena area. We were going to Studio City to get our hair done every 2-4 weeks or so and damn it got OLD quick!\r \r My wife happened to find Christy on the web with some jammin reviews so we said ""what the heck"", let's give her a try?\r \r Well, that was 4 years ago and we're so glad we did!\r She takes her time and makes you feel right at home each and every time you see her.\r \r Not just great hair but a great chick! Having lived in various cities (from Boston to Sydney to San Francisco and now LA), Christy is THE best hair dresser I've had. She definitely stands apart because of her love for her job and her down-to-earth personality. She has easily earned my trust in styling my hair from the first time I met her. Her experience and talent are only enhanced by her passion. I've recommended her to countless friends and family members (both male and female), all of whom have varying lengths, textures and styling needs, and she always makes us look and feel amazing. I've always dreaded the awkward conversation that comes with getting your hair done, but Christy's warmth and professionalism makes you feel right at home in her chair. She was the only stylist I found who could remove my regrettable pink highlights. Also, she uses quality products with no harsh chemicals, and she's always up to date about new techniques and treatments. Needless to say, I HIGHLY recommend her, which is not done lightly since I am not one to post reviews of people/businesses on sites like these. But since I found her here four years ago, I thought I'd come back and echo the sentiments of other reviewers. She truly does deserve the recognition for being a talented hair dresser. FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS SRAIGHT HAIR & OR WHO WANTS TO SAVE TIME ON STYLING –GET THIS DONE BY CHRISTY!!!! My hair is 50% wavy underneath and is 50% straight on top! I hate having my hair two separate ways. I have always wanted to straighten my hair so i could have all 100% straight hair but have been afraid to go ahead with the process. I have heard that many hair straightening treatments are extremely bad for your hair and take several hours to do at the salon. I called Christy and she said that there was a new hair straightening product out which did not damage hair, didnt smell potent & strong and that the process time would be minimal compared to other straightening products. I decided to go ahead with the new straightening product called ""Keratin Straightening System"". The process only took about 45min or so, I have semi medium length hair but its really thick. The product did not smell bad at all and to this day my hair has been in very good undamaged condition. In fact my hair is very sleek & shiney-i luv it!!! Now that i have had this done i wish that i would have this done many many years ago. Now it only takes me about 10 minutes to flat iron & style my hair, unlike before it would take me about 45min and would not look as good as it does now. Plus, if im in a rush and don’t have time to blow dry and style my hair, my hair will dry straight, unlike before it would dry and go all wavy and it would frizz up too. I luv, luv, luv my hair soooo much more now. Seriously ladies go to a professional like CHRISTY and get your hair done! more

I was under the impression that to have your hair done right you have to drive to the west side and pay a weeks salary, boy was I wrong. Because of our ""economic situation"" my husband made me reevaluate my ""Splurges"" as he called them, but we all know hair is a necessity. I wasn't looking for a big change, just someone closer and less expensive to keep my grey at bay. Christy was a perfect fit. She matched my color perfectly and even taught me a couple new ways to style my hair. I was so pleased as I bounced out of the salon, I had saved about a hundred bucks so I took myself to lunch. I found Christy online.... reading reviews just as you are doing now...... something about Christy's reviews struck me, she sounded not only like a good stylist but a cool person too. Nevertheless I channeled every hair nightmare I had ever experienced and decided to test the water before I jumped in. I booked just a cut to start even though I desperately needed color as well. She won me over right away. A beautiful salon that feels comfortable, it's cool but not stuffy. Christy was pleasant, knowledgeable and very professional. I not only booked my color appointment for the following week but found myself wanting to invite her to a bar b que my boyfriend and I were having that weekend ( I restrained, we did just meet .....kidding) I guess what I am trying to say is not only do I have a great new stylist but I had a real nice experience all the way around. When I was out and about one day, I saw this girl with a hair cut and color sassy enough to make me ask who done it. She told me, with a big smile, ""this really sweet and cool chick, Christy...""\r I wrote down her name and the name of the salon and called the next day to make an appointment. I came in with one, rigid idea---keep it long! But Christy kindly pointed out the benefits of getting rid of the dry, splitting, beat-up looking ends. And I'm so glad she did! She worked with the natural wave in my hair to give me a cut that was not only the kind of sassy I wanted, was easy to manage, and still looked ""long,"" but a cut that didn't cost me an arm and a leg to get! She is smart, funny, and is eager to work with her client to achieve his/her complete satisfaction. \r All this in a salon that is airy, elegant, and full of really cool art! Pros: Christy! I was referred to Christy through a co worker, I'm new in town wasn't sure where to go. Had such a great experience. I just moved to LA, and wasn't sure where to go. I got desperate and asked a woman who's hair I admired out at dinner. She handed me Christy's card. I'm so thankful! It's very hard to find someone who actually listens to what you want. Christy gave me exactly what I asked for.
