This place has the most wonderful assortment of hand made chocolates in the area. It is a great place to buy gifts for the chocolate lover in your life. There is always something new to try. They have a great assortment of seasonal items as well. THey will ship anywhere. They are more expensive then the other guys but it is well worth it. Parking can be a hassle in downtown Bloomington-but that is to be expected. The staff is friendly and helpful and the store is clean and bright. Great place to buy different and unique chocolates. more

The Chocolatier 10/18/2005

The Chocolatier is located in down town Bloomington. The parking can be difficult at times. They have lots of delicious homemade chocolates, like cream filled chocolates and giant "turtles". They also carry a large selection of other candy, like Jelly Belly jelly beans, licorice, etc. In fall, they have caramel apples, too. Around the holidays, they become very crowded. Be sure to allow plenty of time for waiting in line. more

Yummy Sweets! 9/27/2005

Yum Yum - this place is great to pick up some gifts for yourself or someone else! They have the best chocolate covered strawberries - they are to die for! I have always shopped at Chocolatier for sweets. There prices are higher than the mass produced chocolate that you get at the grocery store - but its worth it because of the personalized service and wonderful treats! more

If you're looking for that perfect gift for the person in your life with a sweet tooth, you've found the perfect place. They offer hundreds of varieties of chocolates in various shapes (such as rose shaped, dinosaur shaped, et lollipops), sizes, flavors and amounts. You can get a single chocolate rose, or a pound of your favorite flavored chocolate. (I especially like their nut flavored ones). The people are very friendly and helpful and will offer a sample if you're not 100% convinced. They also ship anywhere you want, and are well equiped to deal with the demands of high volume holidays such as Valentine's Day. more
