Chinese Shao-Lin Ctr-Martial

This is a great school that has been in business since the 1980's. When I was younger I attended classes at CSC and I hope to return at least for the Tai Chi. I really have missed the school, the students and the teachers. Masters Sharon and David Soard are very good teachers who make learning and exercise fun! Both of my children went to classes at the Shao-Lin Center until they went away to college. They too had fun, got in shape and felt more confident in school. My excuse has been that I have been too busy raising a family. But, the kids are grown now and I don't have that excuse. And, I have really missed the association with the Shao-Lin Center now that the kids are out of state and not attending the kung fu classes. I am headed back to class and I highly encourage everyone to give it a try. more

Came to US and did not know I would take Shaolin Kung Fu. Had only seen it in the movies. Classes have been great. Fun classes. nice classmates and teachers. Lots of fun things to learn. Animal, weapons, tai chi and meditation. Way more than I ever expected! Having fun and you will too. more

This schools instructor has sexually harassed his students, pressured them into affairs, and then he and his wife removed them once he was caught. Stay as far away from this school as possible. This kung fu school is so unique. Teaching traditional Kung Fu, Tai Chi classes and more. There are students of all ages, which says alot about the curriculum - because it holds your attention and challenges you to do better. There are no macho egos. The instructors are dedicated and their enthusiasm is contagious. Having studied Tae Kwon Do, I was looking for a school that encompassed more than basic striking and kicks, and I certainly found it at CSC. Elder Master Sharon and David have taught this traditional art for over 30 years, many of the upper belts have been there over 20 years and are still learning new material! They offer very reasonable rates, trips to China, plus learning the history and background of this amazing art. Whether you're young and have always been interested in martial arts or older and need to get back into shape. Whatever reason you choose to visit CSC -you won't be disappointed! more

I took Tai Chi here when I lived in Denver. I thought martial arts would be somewhat intimidating, but the instructors were nicer than I expected: They were very welcoming. It was nice to have some self defense purpose given for the movements too. more
