Disgusting 6/2/2011

This place is absolutely disgusting..... - We quickly decided what we wanted to order?.yet it took about 30 minutes for our waiter to come by to introduce himself and take our food & beverage order.e barely stopped to drop the food onto the table and then took off. He never asked if we needed anything else and NEVER came back. No refills, etc. - When we started the food to eat .. the enter place is too hot ..we asked about the Air-cooler to waiter he had not to say - After we finished our food, we didn?t see our waiter for another 45 minutes. We finally had to stop a different waiter just to get our check so we could leave, we were VERY disappointed with the service. We paid our bill in full and then left without leaving him a tip. more

Amazing Sushi and Traditional Chinese Dishes 4/13/2009

Chin Chin in Smyrna is one of the best spots for Chinese delivery and/or sushi rolls when you dine-in at the restaurant. The pot-sticker appetizers are phenomenal and I prefer to order the sushi ?daily special? rolls because they are made with the season?s freshest catch. The only menu item I am continuously shocked by is the egg-drop soup, which tastes of dirty dish water. Pros: Fast Delivery and Good Dining-In Service Cons: Egg Drop Soup more

Despicable and ASSAULTING service 2/19/2009

Went to Chin Chin for lunch on a weekday with my 2 yo daughter. From the minute we walked in our waiter was extremely unfriendly and just completely annoyed at having to get my daughter a high chair, bring me a lemon for my water & duck sauce for the crunchy noodles. He scowled at my 2 year old when she smiled at him to give him a ""high-five"". He left the table as I was speaking to him, but did return and heavily placed the duck sauce and lemon on the table. I asked if I could order the sweet & sour chicken lunch, vegetarian-style with tufu. He said ""NO"". Now, I have eaten at this vegetarian-friendly restaurant before for dinner and there is an entire page of vegetarian entrees where the chicken is replaced with tofu. I asked him if they were just out of tofu, and he said, it is $3.00 extra for tofu instead of chicken"". Even knowing the price of chicken far exceeds the price of tofu, I just said, ""OK then, I will just order the dinner portion since that is less that adding on the $3 to the lunch portion"" (and it was). He says ""No, I wont do that for you, you buy lunch & pay me $3 extra!"". Feeling really unnerved (and hungry), I obliged and just said ""OK"". Then he asked what kind of soup I wanted, and I said ""whatever you have that is a vegetarian base is fine"". He rolled his eyes at me, walked away about 3 feet, then proceeded to turn around and THROW THE HARD-BOUND MENU RIGHT AT ME. more

One of my favorite restaurants 8/10/2008

Hey, I was a little apprehensive about writing this review because I didn't want everyone to find out about this place, but because I enjoy it so much and really want them to do well, so I am writing this review. Pros: Great food, Great ambience, Great service, Pretty good value Cons: Medium amount of parking, but I am pretty sure that is never a big problem, Kids might not like the quiet atmosphere more

Chin Chin is not good 7/22/2008

Our family love chinese food and notice a ChinChin open up in Smyrna, we give it a try on a saterday night, our experience with dine in is that although the service is decent, the food is some of the worst chinese we come across in Atlanta, I am sorry but we certainly won't go back again. Pros: restaurant look good Cons: the food is trerrible more

Poor Service 2/5/2008

This is the second time that I've had a horrible experience at Chin Chin. The first time I ordered a dish that was very salty. It took me awhile to go back and sure enough another bad experience acquired. The food wasn?t that great and the waiter was not personable at all. When we went to pay for our meal the waitress gave us our totals which were incorrect. The totals were different from the menu price and when she realized that I was right she wouldn?t give us the amount on the menu. The owner was on the phone and not very helpful at all. He did not give us the service that we should have received from management. We told them it wasn?t right and they should inform customers of the change. If you have false advertisement then give the customer the amount they saw. Cons: Service was horrilbe more

unexpected treat 11/29/2006

Went in to find white table clothes and an empty location. I thought this was going to be a mistake. Well, I was mistaken. Upon ordering, saw a small army of cooks began preparing my families order. Food was plentiful and wonderful. Great spring rolls as starter and fresh sushi available. ...Have been back several times!!! Pros: Clean and elegant more

Excellent--best quality, service and no 'tude. 12/17/2005

Have been going to this restaurant since it opened. The quality, service and prices have been consistent throughout. I am surpised to hear that someone would have had a dissapointing experience. Chin Chin is a big plus to the Smyrna/Vinings neighborhood. Try it, you be the judge. PS- The sushi is very good and they also have a Sunday buffet. Pros: Good food, Interesting menu, A+ Service more

So glad that Chin Chin's now in Smyrna! 7/5/2005

Chin Chin has long been one of the few Chinese restaurants in Atlanta that I consistently like. Now they've opened one in Smyrna, conveniently located to Cumberland Mall and Vinings. And the food is just as great as ever! The atmosphere is quiet, the staff friendly, and the price is right. Great place for lunch or dinner. more

Poor Customer Service Experience 4/5/2005

We ordered last week and weren't that impressed by the service and food was only okay. I gave it another chance, and a friendly man said no problem to my request for extra veggies instead of brown rice. I tried to confirm with the cashier. She rudely told me no even after I told her the man said okay. She said she couldn't guarantee anything. I asked her to confirm before paying. She came back and said no and would I like to cancel. I said yes and I was surprised since I was ordering from the ""light"" menu and was just trying to make it even lighter...she immediately got on the phone and never replied! I was shocked by her rude attitude. Even if she said no, she could have been much nicer. Too many others out there that treat you much better than this and have better food! more
