Went to Chin Chin for lunch on a weekday with my 2 yo daughter. From the minute we walked in our waiter was extremely unfriendly and just completely annoyed at having to get my daughter a high chair, bring me a lemon for my water & duck sauce for the crunchy noodles. He scowled at my 2 year old when she smiled at him to give him a ""high-five"". He left the table as I was speaking to him, but did return and heavily placed the duck sauce and lemon on the table. I asked if I could order the sweet & sour chicken lunch, vegetarian-style with tufu. He said ""NO"". Now, I have eaten at this vegetarian-friendly restaurant before for dinner and there is an entire page of vegetarian entrees where the chicken is replaced with tofu. I asked him if they were just out of tofu, and he said, it is $3.00 extra for tofu instead of chicken"". Even knowing the price of chicken far exceeds the price of tofu, I just said, ""OK then, I will just order the dinner portion since that is less that adding on the $3 to the lunch portion"" (and it was). He says ""No, I wont do that for you, you buy lunch & pay me $3 extra!"". Feeling really unnerved (and hungry), I obliged and just said ""OK"". Then he asked what kind of soup I wanted, and I said ""whatever you have that is a vegetarian base is fine"". He rolled his eyes at me, walked away about 3 feet, then proceeded to turn around and THROW THE HARD-BOUND MENU RIGHT AT ME.
