Childrens Office

Amazing diagnostics and I believe that they are all trained by Dr. Murphy who is a great person and doctor as well. My child was very ill and we were not allowed to go in that day because the girl said, "" there are a lot more sicker kids than yours"". She did not know what was wrong with my child at that point. I've heard from current patients as well that have the same problem. An ER appointment was necessary for a child with a severe trauma because of no appointment available. They would not provide the mother an appointment. Just maybe the doctors need to evaluate the horrible staff and realize it isn't the patients that are desperately trying to get their children in for illnesses. Going home a little early every day should not be a priority, and that is exactly what the girls are doing. So, my opinion of this office is that the doctors are very good quality, but they have poor office staff support. I could not let my child wait until the next day being that ill. I would never expect them to leave their children that sick for two days and I would never allow my children to be that sick without medical attention. I would have had to take them to the ER to get help. If we were allowed we would return. If you leave the office to go to another doctor, even when you can't get in, they do not want you back in their office. So good way to ditch bad patients, right! We may use alternative medicine because the medical community as a whole is becoming impossible to deal with including electronic records. I will never agree with my families information broadcasted over anyone's internet, including the medical facilities. Not the fault of one doctor, but they do use electronic medical records as well. Money within the AMA, paying off politicians, electronic records may help you once in a lifetime, if that, when your past out. Other than that, it is open season for every hacker and criminal every day of your life. That will be a problem in the future. Promise. more

I LOVE this practice with the exception of Dr. Horning. I took my son to her once and she was rude and spoke down to me. I chose to delay my son's MMR vaccine. I fully intend for him to have it, just not at 1 yr of age. Her response to me was ""We used to not have to worry about kids getting measles until people stopped vaccinating their children!"" very rudely and abruptly. Mind you my child has had ALL of his other vaccinations and they were given within the recommended time frame. Vaccinating your child is a personal decision and while she may feel strongly about this issue it was completely unprofessional in my opinion for her to react in that manner. So we will NEVER deal with her again. more

We have gone through many pediatrians and have been extremely pleased with the Doctor's we have seen. Where others that we have seen have passed off my son's cronic cough as illness that is passed around daycare to him having astma. Truly professional and my son likes the Doctor's there. Appointments are always easy to make. Pros: Multiple Doctors more

It's not bad enough the amount of money that medical services cost but after being a good patient of record for two young girls for 10 years not once calling to cancel with short notice or not ever once not showing up for a scheduled appointment the first time I called to RESCHEDULE an appointment with approximately 20 hrs notice I was told that they would charge a $25.00 cancelation fee . I will keep my appointment and figure out a way to cost them at least double that amount. this office has no customer service and doesn't value the patient Doctor relationship at all my trust in them to take care of our most valuable assets ""our young people"" my children has been broken because of greed money is there first prioraty not patients. I am the mother of 4 children my oldest being 18yrs now and my youngest being 6 and autistic. I have been with the children's office for over 7 years and they have the best staff in the Flint area in my opinion. I would recommend this office to anyone looking for a loving doctors office for their children. Dr. Simmert is full of fun he keeps the kids smiling. Jennifer you may not see her as much as I had to but, she makes you feel like your part of an extended family, and I can't forget the office staff those little ladies are adorable they will try to assist you in any way they can, above and beyond the call of duty. They are Great ! Good luck in your search although you've already run across the Best. more
