I've been using Chicago Dog Walkers for a little over a year now. And I love, love, love them. My walker, Bobbi, is so good with Buddy! The first time I was home when she came (on time) to take him for a walk, they had a whole little conversation going. Bobbi would talk in a baby voice and Buddy would answer her with a couple of yips. They did this all the way out the door. Hilarious! They've been very accommodating with late walks. Yes, the price for this is a little more, but it's well worth it to know that someone I trust is going to visit my guy. Mark was great when we first met. I've talked to him a couple of times since then. But really all of my questions, cancellations and boarding issues are handled either with Bobbi directly or with the very friendly and efficient office staff. A live person always answers the phone! The only thing I'm not crazy about is that I would like to be able to pay with cash. They will not allow this. They gave me the choice of debit/credit card or a check. They're just great in all respects!! more

Really. If your pooch is important to you, Chicago Dog Walkers is the absolute way to go. The walkers are reliable, honest, caring and responsible. The owner has scruples beyond compare. He goes well beyond the call of duty for his clients and has kept his rates beyond reasonable for the 10 years I've used him. Your dog will be walked by the same person each day. Your home will be safe, secure and clean (not sure what the previous reviewer was smoking: I CANNOT imagine one of Marc's well-screen employees taking anything from my home.) The service will add extras like bringing in the mail or watering a plant or two, by request. Truly, I work in the client service industry. I just can't say enough about Chicago Dog Walkers! They are so much more than a dog walking service in my book! My walker has dropped everything when I am stuck at work to return to my home and give my pooch an extra walk and feeding, she has also called me during the day to inform me that my little buddy was sick and even offered to stay with her to ensure that she was ok! The company is so flexible with my crazy schedule as well - never has my walker complained or told me "no" to a schedule change! In addition, the office staff is amazing! Not only has Marc, the owner of the company, actually drove to my home during the night with an extra set of keys to let me in my own home when I locked myself out, but he also drove from their office in Bucktown all the way to my office downtown on one occasion to deliver that same extra set of keys to me when one of my own keys broke off as I was locking up my home on my way to work that morning!! When my walker described a walk less than a mile long that my grandmother could finish in 15 minutes as the route she took for my dog's 40 minutes of rigorous exercise, I was disappointed. When she adjusted the walk to 1.5 miles I accepted her laziness. When they insisted on a minumum service level and jacked up (their words not mine) their prices I had enough. more
