I don't generally give places glowing reviews, and am cautious before recommending a place. I had my first haircut from Vanessa back in July, and it was quite honestly the best haircut I've ever had. I was tempted to post a review back then, but I decided to wait until I'd had my second haircut from her, to make sure it wasn't a fluke. Well, I went back to her yesterday, and I'm convinced - she's definitely the best hairdresser I've ever been to. That's not an easy title to win, either - I've been to some very highly regarded salons. When I lived in San Diego I frequented both Salon David Perez (and David was my hairstylist) and Salon Tonic; when I lived in Berkeley I went to Peter Thomas Hair Design and G-Squared (in San Francisco). I have very fine, wavy hair - not the cute perfectly wavy hair you see on actresses - the unruly better blow-dry it straight or it'll look crazy wavy hair. Or so I thought. When I first met with Vanessa I told her I'd love to wear my hair down and wavy (or even a little curly), but that I hate spending time on my hair. The 5 minutes I spend blow-drying my hair straight is more prep time than I'd like, and when I don't feel like doing that my hair winds up in a ponytail. I didn't just want to be able to wear it wavy/curly, though, I also told her I'd like to be able to blow-dry it straight sometimes too, and still have it look great. So, to recap, I want my hair to look perfect wavy or straight, and to spend no more than 5 minutes on it. Amazingly enough, that's exactly what I got. My new hair routine is: shower, put on curl creme, scrunch my hair up with my hands, let it air dry, get PERFECT actress-like waves/curls. It takes me all of about 1 minute prep time, and my hair has never looked this good. It's incredible how many complements I get on my hair now, and how often I hear ""I want your hair!"" - especially after they hear how easy it is to style.\r \r Thanks!! I used a temporary hair color and it had been almost 6 months. It was starting to fade out, but looked ""faded"" and I had several spots that I my self could not reach.LOL...so i went to Vanessa and she went right to work. I truly love the color and cut and she even did my eyebrows.She gave me the most beautiful dimensional highlights to go with my red and it all blends together.I look and feel so natural.I was a faded orange color when i walked in and a beautiful red head when I came out. I was also highly impressed with the cut. My hair is naturally curly, but i can do just about anything with it...straight, rollers, flip, however all my previous hair cuts are only for one style. But the style Vanessa gave me is so versatile i can go from curly to straight and still look great! I have nothing but wonderful things to say.She is the sweetest girl, not fake.. WOW! A real manicurist! I am so happy that I found Stephanie. I have had my cuticles ripped too many times by dull cuticle nippers. I never have to worry about that again now that I found a real professional manicurist ,who does nails a natural and healthy way. I just got my first set of H.B.R. hair extensions today and they are absolutely fabulous! Robb does such amazing work on my hair. I can honestly say that I have finally found a stylist who is the ""total package"". He is friendly, courteous, always has a smile on his face, and of course a very talented hair colorist and extensionist. I drive over 2 hours to see him every six weeks and he is more than worth it. I know that if you go and see Robb, you will never see another hair stylist again! He will provide you with a wonderful experience as well as the best hair you could ever imagine! I have searched high and low for a stylist who really listens to me, whose judgement I can trust, and who can deliver the results I want. I have found him! I am very particular, and Robb always takes the time to listen to me. Communication with a stylist is so important. I have had so many bad experiences with stylists who don't listen.Robb always takes the time to make sure he understands what his clients want so that they leave the salon happy. I have never been disappointed. What I appreciate most about Robb is his attention to detail. He is as particular as I am about every little thing. I highly recommend him for corrective color as well. I brought in a friend who was traumatized by a bad experience at an upscale salon in West Hollywood. The stylist had not listened to her at all and when he tried to fix it had made it even worse. It was a stripey multi-colored mess. I insisted that she go to Robb's, and Robb fixed it. My friend's hair looks fabulous and she gets tons of compliments on it now. Vanessa Domazos takes the time to find out exactly how you want your hair to look. She's a total professional, a meticulous stylist, and has the cleanest salon space in L.A.! After reading the reviews on this website I scheduled an appt. with Vanessa which was an excellent decision. Vanessa is amazing! Not only does she cut and color my hair (and my mother's when she comes to visit from paris), she did make-up and hair for my entire wedding party and everyone felt gorgeous. Plus, after spending an afternoon in a hotel suite hanging out with her while she worked on us, everyone loved her and wanted her to stay for the wedding. She will spend hours with you getting everything just right. I feel like I can communicate with her; when I say long, loose layers, that's what I get rather than some Jennifer Anniston circa 1994 cut. She's very up on what is in style and what looks good and individualizes your color and cut rather than following any sort of formulaic model which I've had many other hairdressers do over the years. I am in love with my new hair color! After several visits to expensive and rude salons in Studio City,West Hollywood, I have finally found the salon for me. HBR Salon is the perfect place for highlights, color, and cut. The service was awesome, And Robb is my new hero. I usually have to explain to colorist what I want and what I don't want but Robb took one look at my hair after I told him I wanted highlights and turned me into ,as what he refered to me as a ""hot tamale"". I have not been so excited about my hair color in probably 10 years!!! Robb is awesome, the price is reasonable , the service impecable, and the product is superb! It's kind of embarrassing to admit that I never had a good salon experience. I would always have bad haircuts and, yes, spend the next four months in misery until my hair grows out again. So for my birthday this year I decided to go to a ""pricer"" salon in town. I cannot believe I actually LOVE my haircut...for once! I straightened my hair and had a trim with Robb. Robb is amazing. I believe all the others are just as amazing because everyone who left there was happy with their hair. But, Robb, he will impress you with his skills. He only used one tool -- a scissor to give you this beautiful haircut. And the best part was that the hair he cut would fly and drop on the floor with style. Definitely the funnest part of all. I was so anxious to get a new cut before a trip and decided to take my sister's word on her stylist as my stylist "" VANESSA"" was unavailable. OH MY GOSH, that woman butchered my hair! She didn't do ANYTHING close to what I wanted! I don?t usually write reviews, I mean, seriously, I have better things to do. But this place deserves a review, kudos and many repeat visits. I live in Beverly Hills and I?ve tried all the high-end salons, the ones where you have to book an appointment almost a year in advance and where your final bill exceeds any kind of rationality for a guy who?s hair is only a couple of inches long. A friend of mine referred me here and I was skeptical but he raved so much about how great the salon and Vanessa is that I decided to give it a go. The whole thing is perfect starting from the moment you call to book your appointment. when the day of your appointment comes you?re greeted with smiles, small salon gossip/talk, tea/coffee, up-to-date reading material and then my stylist (Vanessa) appeared on cue and took care of business. She gave me a cut, touched up my tips and styled my hair. The best part about it was that she didn?t give me a cut she thought would suit you but a cut I actually like and will be able to manage. She explained everything about my hair needs to me with a great attitude and I ended up purchasing some of the products she recommended to me because it simply made sense to do so. Wow am I happy! I have always been afraid to try to many different things and colors with my hair. I have always gone for the natural healthy sun-n-surf kind of look. Unfortunatly age has not wanted me to keep that look, but Linda Werstiuk at Saving Grace in Chess Burman has made it possible. I have never been able to trust anyone with my color and trims as much as Linda. Today while Linda was photographing my hair for her website ( I am very flatered) a lady walked by and said ""beautiful, is it real""? That was a great compliment to both Linda (her color) and me (my long hair), it doesn't get much better then that. \r \r You can get an appointment within a few days or book weeks in advance. I USE TO GO TO M2STUDIO TO GET MY HAIR DONE WITH VANESSA.. I GO ON VACATION AND COME TO FIND OUT SHE NO LONGER WORKS FOR THEM . At first, I knew she was good at one particular type of cut, but as I experimented with different looks, I still had people on the street asking me for the name of my stylist because my hair cut always looked so good.
