Friendly Service 5/1/2013

The people are friendly and seem to take pride in their work. However, on one visit, they told me that my car needed two new catalytic converters and gave me a very high estimate, but when I took it to Midas they said my car only has ONE catalytic converter. So, Midas replaced the one at less than half the price that Check Engine would have charged me for "two." more

Good job on repairs, not so much on scheduling. 4/2/2013

Check engine does good work, but if you are going to tell someone that you are going to do the work on a certain date don't wait three days later to start on the job. Not very good for customer relations. more

F150 Engine Repair 3/11/2013

It was suspect that the oil pump has failed in my engine. After being well advised as to the process of checking the system, I gave them the direction to proceed. They found that the oil pump was good, but that there was a large build up of sludge in the oil pan that caused the restriction of oil flow. It was cleaned out as best as possible and reassembled. It is now running fine. Throughout the entire process I was informed of each step and was allowed to make every decision before any work was done. They also followed up with suggested steps to help in minimizing the future effects of sludge release and provided suggested maintenance schedules. I am quite pleased with Check Engine's professionalism and concern. more
