We took our ORIGINAL 1930s wooden screen door with scalloped framing to this place because they were a local screen repair shop. We told them when we dropped it off that it was the ORIGINAL WOODEN SCREEN DOOR, and the sales clerk said they could repair it. They called us later to say they needed to replace the molding as well as the screen, and we said ok. When we picked it up the screen was repaired and a new aluminum molding set in. BUT, the ORIGINAL SCALLOPED WOODEN FRAMING of the door has been thrown out (except for 2 small pieces) and part of the frame had a huge chunk missing. The owner (who wasn't there the day we dropped off the door) said they weren't carpenters so they don't repair wood. If they don't repair wood then whey did her sales clerk say they could repair the door in first place?! She claimed the scalloped wooded frame was the molding, which it WAS NOT, and said we said to replace it. WE understand the difference between a screen, a molding, and a frame. THIS owner doesn't! You shouldn't accept a replacement/repair job if you can't replace (or at lease reattach) all the parts fully. We were very upset about the miscommunication & inadequate
Pros: none
Cons: rude, incosiderate, untrained staff and owner
