Best amenity is the Shampoo's and the Day Spa with a lunch from Sweet Loraines' brought in by roomservice from the Marriott Hotel. Friendly satff makes everyone feel welcome. Pros: Great Hair, Best Makeup , Best Eyebrow Waxing more

BEST SALON IN DETROIT (ALLURE'S A LIST) 1/4/2006

CHARISMA DAY SPA AND SALON has been my salon since I was kid. Now they are voted best in Detroit. I always thought they were the best and I send all my friends and family here. My husband and the kids come together and I go to Charisma to relax with a pedicure or massage when I come to get my hair cut and color. There are special promotions on certain days for products and they carry everything like Matrix and Paul Mitchell, Burts Bees, Aveda and more. Pros: 7 DAYS, DAY SPA, BEST HIGHLITES more

I started going to Charisma Day Spa when I was planning my wedding. Charisma put it all together for me with a evening with my bridal party in the Spa with pedicures and nails and champange. On the day of the wedding my bridal party all had their hair and make-up done. It was great there were two other brides there having there hair, make-up and vail put on at the same time. Love my hair cut and color. I receive complements all the time. Charisma has been around for 40 years with the best proffessionals in business. When I can I love to pamper myself in the Day Spa with a pedicure and a facial. I have been sending my friends here for years. Now the new award from Allure Magazine makes me proud to go to the best. I won't go back 9/3/2005

I went here for a massage and haircut. I enjoy a deep pressure during my massage and mention it while I set up the appointments. I was told no problem. The massage therapist said otherwise, that she doesn't do that, and yes, I was to keep the appointment. (They have a cancellation policy). I thought I would try it out reluctantly. She then made me late for my haircut appointment. Haircut was okay- nothing out of the ordinary. Expected more. more

I'm not sold 8/30/2005

I think Charisma is a nice salon, and Merideth gave me a great cut but for $45, the price was a little too steep for me. I've had good cuts at JCPenny for half the price. I feel the customer is paying for the custome paint job back by the sinks and for the high priced rent at Laurel Park Place. I don't think I'll go back even though I did like my stylist. more
